Last night was WWE’s Fastlane pay-per-view featuring members of the Smackdown roster. Not only was it the company’s final brand-exclusive pay-per-view, but it was also the final main roster pay-per-view before WrestleMania takes place in April. As such, a few new matches for the event were confirmed during the event. AJ Styles retained his WWE Championship in the six pack challenge main event, so he will now be officially defending his title against Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania in New Orleans. The match marks the first singles match between the two wrestlers since their critically-acclaimed match at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 event.

The Fastlane show also featured a match that saw Charlotte Flair retain the Smackdown Women’s Championship over Ruby Riott. After winning the match, Raw Superstar Asuka made a surprise appearance and a title match between herself and Flair was officially announced by WWE. After winning the women’s Royal Rumble match, Asuka was given the chance to choose which champion she wanted to face at WrestleMania, but she held off on making her decision. WWE had been teasing that she would face Alexa Bliss for her title at the show, but that was all just a smokescreen. WrestleMania takes place on April 8th, 2018 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
SHE’S MADE HER DECISION.

Randy Orton has wrestled for WWE for a number of years and he has experienced a great deal of success during his tenure with the company. Orton has won multiple championships in WWE over the years, and he just recently defeated Bobby Roode to win the United States Championship during last night’s Fastlane pay-per-view. Interestingly enough, this was actually a major victory for Orton as he has now managed to win every single championship that he is eligible to compete for in the company. The announcers were sure to point out this huge accomplishment after Orton emerged as the winner of the title match. Orton will now likely head into WrestleMania this April as the United States Champion.
