As noted, tonight’s edition of WWE NXT will be a two hour “Best of 2017” special, and WWE.com is hyping the following for the show, including footage of the McIntyre vs Cole match which took place at a WWE NXT live event the night before NXT Takeover WarGames:

Mick Foley Says His First WWF Title Win Was a ‘Mistake’, Calls the ‘Finger Poke of Doom’ a ‘Dreadful’ Creative Decision

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently spoke with Sky Sports and below are some interview highlights:

On his first WWF Title win, which went head-to-head with WCW Monday Nitro:

“It meant so much to me on a personal level and I think I’m right in saying the fans have voted it the best ever Raw moment,” he said. “I’m excited to have been part of so many big matches on Raw.

“But I saw me as champion as a mistake. I didn’t think it was a good idea. I always thought the challenger should be chasing the champion, and The Rock was a great champion.

“But it turned out to be the best thing for everybody. We were going up against a massive live WCW show at the Georgia Dome in front of 40,000 people and nobody thought we’d be celebrating a big victory that night.”

On the now-infamous “Finger Poke of Doom” move on the same episode during which Tony Schiavone gave away spoiled Foley’s WWF Title win on the Nitro:

“I did watch Nitro later that night and the Fingerpoke of Doom was a dreadful creative decision, but the even worse decision was to give away the ending to our show,” he said.

“It obviously backfired. It’s interesting to talk to Eric Bischoff these days and he says he was doing what he thought he had to do to make his show better.

WWE 205 Live Note

It should be noted that despite WWE 205 Live airing live on a weekly basis, the show will actually air as a taped show for the duration of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge. Tonight’s WWE 205 Live matches were taped before Smackdown, then aired in the 10:30pm EST time slot immediately after the WWE MMC.

Why Johnny Gargano Is Motivated

Johnny Gargano, the #1 contender to the WWE NXT Title, posted the following on Instagram:

When I was 8 years old.. “replica belts” didn’t exist yet but I was OBSESSED with Championship Titles and being a Champion. So much so.. my Dad got this made for me as a present at a trophy shop.

My first Championship.

My Dad went in for open heart surgery on Christmas day. He’s doing everything in his power to be able to travel to Philadelphia to attend #NXTTakeOver with the rest of my family.

I’m going to do everything in my power to bring home a new Championship to share with him.

Lors d’une interview qu’elle a accordée au Sun depuis Paris au mois de janvier, Céline Dion a clarifié les choses concernant sa relation avec son nouvel ami, le bel Espagnol Pepe Munoz. Toutefois, la chanteuse de 50 ans n’a pas manqué d’évoquer également son défunt mari René Angélil, mort il y a déjà trois ans. L’occasion de découvrir une anecdote sur l’éducation de leurs fils…

Alors qu’elle a sorti une ligne de vêtements non genrés pour enfants, baptisée Celinununu, la diva est revenue auprès du Sun sur sa volonté de laisser ses fils choisir ce qu’ils aiment, ce qu’ils veulent porter et qui ils veulent être. Céline Dion, qui est la maman de René-Charles (18 ans) et des jumeaux Nelson et Eddy (8 ans), avait eu du mal à faire accepter ce point de vue à René… “Une fois, nous nous sommes rendus à Disneyland et j’essayais de leur acheter des choses de garçon, comme des figurines de Buzz L’Éclair, en disant : ‘Hey les gars, regardez ça !’ mais ils regardaient des princesses, des robes et des poupées et c’est ce qu’ils voulaient. Je me suis dit : ‘Pourquoi pas ?’ Quand je suis rentrée à la maison avec toutes les choses que mes enfants avaient choisies, mon mari – paix à son âme – n’a pas compris, mais c’était d’une génération différente. Nous devons respecter cela“, a-t-elle relaté.

Céline Dion, qui a récemment regagné Las Vegas pour reprendre sa résidence bientôt finie au Caesars Palace, a martelé son message d’acception et de tolérance concernant les choix et les envies des enfants. “Je pense que nous devrions leur donner la possibilité d’essayer des choses et de porter la couleur de leur choix. (…) Si vous êtes un garçon, vous portez du bleu, si vous êtes une fille, vous portez du rose… Mais au final, ça veut dire quoi ? Noir, blanc, violet, bleu… Peu importe“, a-t-elle ajouté.

United States title match added to WWE Extreme Rules

Former United States Champion Sheamus is getting a shot to reclaim the title.

Sheamus will challenge for Damian Priest’s United States Championship at Extreme Rules on Sunday, September 26. Sheamus became the number one contender to Priest’s title by defeating Drew McIntyre on Raw tonight.

McIntyre went to hit a Claymore on Sheamus near the conclusion of the number one contender’s match, but Sheamus reversed it into a roll-up. Sheamus held on to McIntyre’s tights for extra leverage as he pinned him to get the win.

During the number one contender’s match, McIntyre took off the protective mask that Sheamus has been wearing since breaking his nose this May. McIntyre hit Sheamus with the mask after the match and then laid him out with a Claymore.

Priest defeated Sheamus at SummerSlam last month to win the United States title. On Raw last week, Priest retained the title against McIntyre and Sheamus in a triple threat match.

Extreme Rules is being held at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Here’s the updated card for the pay-per-view:

Bobby Roode Calls Out Mixed Match Challenge Partner

Bobby Roode was left frustrated with his WWE Mixed Match Challenge partner, Charlotte Flair yesterday when she decided to workout with New Day member, Xavier Woods.

The SmackDown Live Women’s Champion posted a video of herself in the gym thanking Woods for cheering her on, which led to the Glorious one sending a tweet of his shock at Charlotte’s workout partner choice.

Renee Young Shocked At Corey Graves

Renee Young called out WWE Raw commentator, Corey Graves during the main event last night after Graves made a comment suggesting that Jason Jordan is an upgrade over Young’s husband, Dean Ambrose.

The WWE Universe Twitter account posted the quote during the show and Young said she will chalk it up to Graves being overworked.

WWE Questions Lio Rush’s NXT Future After Cryptic Tweet About “Reevaluating” His Career

NXT newcomer Lio Rush, who garnered a tremendous amount of backstage heat in WWE after he made a comment on Twitter regarding the release of Emma, has now found himself on the losing end of WWE story lines.

On last night’s edition of NXT, Rush lost another match, this time to Lars Sullivan, and following the bout he was interviewed backstage. During the interview, which you can watch above, Rush talks about reevaluating his career in NXT.

Rush has since posted the following Tweet, which was picked up in the below article from WWE.com.

“We” are NXT ? Maybe the grass IS greener on the other side.

Has Lio Rush’s highly anticipated run with NXT already ended?

The Man of the Hour had a rough night Wednesday when he collided with Lars Sullivan in a head-to-head showdown. After not being seen on NXT for months, Rush was destroyed by the monstrous Sullivan.

After the contest, Rush told WWE.com in an exclusive video that for the first time in his life, he is second-guessing things. Rush went as far as to say he needs to do some “reevaluating.”

This was more than enough to create some doubt about the high-flying phenom’s future in NXT, but Rush added to the speculation with a cryptic tweet later in the night.

Rush came to NXT with high hopes. At the age of just 22, the daredevil Superstar had already made a name for himself around the world with his spectacular in-ring skills. The Man of the Hour is even an #NXTAwardFutureStar nominee. Yet, what exactly has this recent rough patch caused Rush to reevaluate? Has Rush decided to take his career in a different direction? And if so, what does it mean for his future in NXT?

Another Huge Title Change Takes Place at Tonight’s Impact Wrestling Tapings, Logo Revealed For New PPV

As we noted last night, Matt Sydal became the X-Division and Grand Champion at this week’s TV tapings in Orlando, and last night Sydal “gifted” the Gran Championship to Josh Mathews.

During tonight’s TV tapings, Austin Aries challenged Sydal for the Impact Grand Championship and defeated him to become both the Grand and Impact World Champion. There has been speculation that Impact might be unifying the World and Grand Championships to do away with the Grand Title, but that remains unconfirmed.

Ellsworth has been avoiding a match with Heel Wife, and in the clip above, it appears as if the match is going to take place, with Wife’s husband Grim saying he is going to train Wife for the title match.

ROH Announces Return to UK for ‘Honor Re-United’

Alain-Fabien Delon et Capucine Anav : Mariage, enfants… ils prévoient l’avenir

À 24 ans, Alain-Fabien Delon semble enfin prendre son envol et cela se constate sur tous les plans. Le fils cadet d’Alain Delon et de son ancienne compagne Rosalie van Breemen publie son premier roman De la race des seigneurs (Stock arpège) et il est attendu dans deux films. Côté vie privée, il roucoule dans les bras de Capucine Anav.

Dans les pages de Gala, Alain-Fabien Delon dit tout le bien qu’il pense de sa chérie, rencontrée il y a un peu plus de deux ans. “Elle est pour beaucoup dans tout ce qui m’arrive. Elle m’apaise. Et, au-delà de l’amour que l’on se porte, c’est la seule personne avec laquelle j’arrive à être zen, moi-même. (…) Avec Capucine, on a créé comme une sorte de famille. Une stabilité. Elle m’aide à prendre du recul“, dit-il. Avec l’ex-chroniqueuse de Touche pas à mon poste, il fait même des plans sur la comète. “Le mariage j’y crois, et même temps, vu comment ça se passe souvent… Quand mon père a voulu épouser ma mère, il a fait construire une chapelle ; je trouvais ça vraiment mignon. Elle est partie avant. Il en a fait sa tombe !“, ajoute-t-il.

Le jeune homme, qui admet avoir peu de rapports avec son frère Anthony Delon – “nous n’en avons plus beaucoup depuis deux ans et demi environ” – et qui affirme que son père préfère leur soeur Anouchka Delon, veut toutefois fonder une famille et tisser des liens aussi forts que ceux qui existent dans le foyer de sa chérie. “J’aimerais réussir ça avec ma propre famille, celle qu’on aura“, lâche-t-il, en évoquant un désir de paternité. Et Capucine Anav de préciser qu’ils aimeraient avoir un fils. “Un jour, on en a parlé ensemble et il m’a dit qu’il aimerait avoir un fils pour contrecarrer cette généralité qui veut qu’un père soit plus proche de sa fille. Pour prouver qu’on peut aimer les deux sans faire de différence“, clame-t-elle.
