Nine Vikings ranked in newest Super Region #3 rankings

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Augustana wrestling team is ranked sixth in the NCAA Super Region #3 rankings in a release from the conference Wednesday. The region consists of 15 institutions including nine from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Maryville earned the top spot in the poll with 49 points, followed by Ouachita Baptist with 45 points. McKendree placed third with 31 points, while NSIC rival St. Cloud State took fourth with 30 points. Lindenwood and Augustana rounded out the top-six spots with 21 and 19 points, respectively.

Three Viking wrestlers remain ranked in the top-five of their respective weight classes. TJ North (1st, 125 pounds), Jeremiah Peterson (2nd, 141 pounds), and Jayd Docken (4th, 197 pounds).

North held on the top spot at 125 pounds for the past two releases accumulating an 11-3 season record. Currently ranked first in the NCAA Division II rankings, North defeated the No. 5 ranked wrestler, Marcos Rios-Tamayo of Lindenwood at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals on Friday, Jan. 9.

Peterson (141 pounds) moved up six spots, debuting at the No. 2 spot for the first time this season. Peterson finished 3-0 at the national duals with a 15-3 major decision over No. 2 Kyle Webb of Lindenwood. Peterson improved his record to 6-1 on the season.

At 197 pounds, Docken dropped one spot to No. 4 in the latest Super Region #3 rankings. Docken finished 2-1 at the national duals in Fort Wayne, Ind. this past Saturday with his only loss to Kenny Breaux of Lindenwood, ranked second in NCAA Division II.

Augustana now opens NSIC competition traveling to Aberdeen, S.D. for a 7 p.m. dual against Northern State on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

Gophers head to NWCA National Duals

They are seeking their fourth consecutive title at the tournament.

Winning any tournament three times in a row is hard enough.

But taking the title at four in a row?

The Gophers will attempt just that at the upcoming NWCA National Duals.

“We have been talking about winning the NWCA National Duals since the end of the season last year,” head assistant coach Brandon Eggum said. “It’s been one of our team goals.” Continue reading at www.mndaily.com

Three New Matches Just Confirmed for WWE’s SummerSlam Event

Click:Attitude control module
WWE made the huge announcement on Raw last night that there will be a pay-per-view later on this year called Evolution, which will consist entirely of female performers for the first time ever. Before that show arrives though, WWE will continue to build up their next big event: SummerSlam. The show will be returning to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for the fourth year in a row, and WWE is wasting no time as far as putting the matches together and officially announcing them is concerned. Matches such as Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship had already been announced beforehand, but two new title matches and a rematch have just been made official for the event next month.
Roman Reigns will now be challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Last night’s episode of Raw ended with a rematch between Roman and Bobby Lashley with a chance to face Lesnar for his title at SummerSlam on the line. Reigns was able to avenge his loss at Extreme Rules and defeat Lashley to earn himself the title match against Lesnar at SummerSlam.

He is @WWERomanReigns, and he is GOING to #SummerSlam! #RAW pic.twitter.com/bhslxLUVog
— WWE (@WWE) July 24, 2018
Another match that is now confirmed to be taking place during the show will be the second match between Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman. Owens won their Steel Cage match at Extreme Rules a few weeks ago after Strowman willingly cost himself the match by tossing Owens off the cage and down to the floor, but former Universal Champion will have the chance to defeat Strowman on his own terms at SummerSlam. It was confirmed during last night’s Raw show that Owens will win Strowman’s Money in the Bank briefcase if “The Monster Among Men” loses the match.

WOW. @FightOwensFight will have the chance to take EVERYTHING from @BraunStrowman at #SummerSlam, because if the #MonsterAmongMen loses in ANY way, Owens gets his #MITB contract! #RAW pic.twitter.com/PjAS13D9OR
— WWE (@WWE) July 24, 2018
Finally, it was also announced that Seth Rollins will be receiving another match against Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. This will be another rematch from Extreme Rules since Rollins previously lost an Iron Man match against Ziggler during that pay-per-view a few days ago.

ONE MORE TIME in Brooklyn…@WWERollins will challenge @HEELZiggler for the #ICTitle at #SummerSlam! #RAW pic.twitter.com/qKFc1JdCC9

More matches for the SummerSlam event are expected to be announced during tonight’s episode of Smackdown, including AJ Styles’ next challenger for the WWE Championship.

Lesnar/USADA Drug Test Update, Heyman on Lesnar, UFC Stars on RAW

As we all know by now, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has been rumored to drop his WWE Universal Title at WWE SummerSlam to Roman Reigns and compete in The UFC to challenge UFC Heavyweight & Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier for his UFC Heavyweight Title. But for Lesnar to do this he has to undergo a USADA Drug Test and sit out the rest of his suspension. It is being said that Lesnar recently underwent his third USADA Drug Test after re-entering the pool during the first of the month. Lesnar will be eligible to return to The UFC in January 2019. Lesnar was trending on Twitter during last night’s RAW with many fans commenting on how lean he looked, speculating that this had to do with the drug tests.
It is worth noting that Heyman mentioned several times on RAW how Lesnar is planning to defeat Reigns at SummerSlam and go on to win The UFC Heavyweight Title from Daniel Cormier to become a dual-sport champion. As previously reported, last night’s RAW saw major storyline issues between Lesnar and Paul Heyman, which may give some insight into post-SummerSlam plans. Heyman was bullied by his client and told that they are not friends. RAW ended with Lesnar assaulting Heyman and laying Angle out with the F5. There is no word yet on if Lesnar will be back on The RAW before SummerSlam, but he is scheduled for the post-SummerSlam RAW in Brooklyn.
Speaking of UFC, UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes & Interim UFC Welterweight Champion Colby Covington were backstage for last night’s RAW in Miami. Below are photos of Colby with Ronda Rousey and Hughes with Jinder Mahal, Tyson Kidd, Natalya & Rousey:

New Match For SummerSlam, Title Match on Raw Soon, Table for 3

A brand new match has just been officially announced for SummerSlam. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw kicked off with Roman Reigns facing off against Baron Corbin, and when the Constable tried to leave the ring during the match, he was stopped by Finn Balor. Later on during the show, it was announced that Corbin and Balor will face each other in singles match during the SummerSlam pay-per-view in two weeks. Corbin and Balor have been feuding on television and on social media for weeks now. The two of them originally fought at Extreme Rules in July, which saw Balor pick up a win, but the two of them will square off once again when WWE returns to Brooklyn, New York later this month.

EXCLUSIVE: It’s official! @FinnBalor WILL take on @BaronCorbinWWE at #SummerSlam! #Raw pic.twitter.com/T2SRtmLtae

A score will be settled at #SummerSlam when @FinnBalor goes toe-to-toe with Constable @BaronCorbinWWE! https://t.co/6u7Hsiay7s pic.twitter.com/QatmNI7ela

The current card for SummerSlam does not feature the Raw Tag Team Champions Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at all at the moment. While that could end up changing in the weeks leading up to the show, it looks like The B Team will instead be defending their titles in a Triple Threat tag team match on Raw next week. It was announced during last night’s episode of Raw that Axel and Dallas will be putting their championships on the line next week when they face The Revival and former champions The Deleters of Worlds. Of course, Axel and Dallas are still undefeated as of right now, so it will be interesting to see if the unexpected champions can keep their momentum going during their title match next Monday night.

WWE will usually premiere a new series or new episodes of a series on the WWE Network right after Monday Night Raw goes off the air. The company has once again utilized this strategy as a brand new episode of Table for 3 appeared on the WWE Network after Raw concluded last night with very little promotion ahead of time. The new episode features three successful competitors of WWE’s women’s division, including former women’s champions Natalya and Nia Jax, as well as WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. The three of them discuss their careers and moments in the business as evidenced by a short preview that WWE has released on their YouTube channel, which can be watched down below:

Daily Update: AJ Styles & Nick Jackson injured, UFC odds, and more

Injuries to WWE and ROH talent

A.J. Styles is off the weekend WWE house shows due to an injury. He was holding his back on Raw and he’s had back problems dating back months although it is not confirmed it was a back injury. Style was working the Carolinas run with shows on Friday night in Greenville, Saturday night in Raleigh and Sunday in Columbia. I expect he’ll be at Raw in Greensboro since it’s the go-home show for Extreme Rules.

Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks was injured in the first Young Bucks match last night in Toronto. He was scheduled in the team ROH vs. Bullet Club main event at last night’s fourth hour of the tapings but wasn’t able to wrestle. It is believed to be a broken rib, but that isn’t official. He is most likely off Saturday’s ROH show in New York.

We’re looking for reports tonight on the NXT shows in Seattle at the Paramount Theater and Bartow, FL. Please send to [email protected]

THURSDAY UPDATE
Ray Leppan (Adam Rose) was given $1,000 bond and was released today after posting the bond, after appearing before the judge this morning.

Impact did 280,000 viewers on Tuesday night, which is the lowest number since they have only had one airing on Tuesdays.

Jushin Liger did return last night in Toronto on the ROH show and is scheduled for the New York show. Speaking of ROH, we got tons of people raving about the Kyle O’Reilly vs. Kushida match at the tapings last night. It was taped as the main event on the third hour of tapings.  I’ll try and get an exact air date later. Donovan Dijak worked heel against Jay Lethal, flip flopping their roles in the angle.

The Fight Network announced the hard launch of “AAA:  Lucha Libre Worldwide” on 5/5 at 10 p.m. The show will air every Thursday at 10 p.m., right after CMLL. There was a chance that the AAA show would fall apart on the station because the station cut a deal with rival CMLL and are airing the shows back-to-back.

The WWE Network has added more than 100 episodes of Smackdown from 2000 to 2002 billed as the rise of the McMahon-Helmsley era.  Are you sure that isn’t 2014 to 2016?

WWE

Someone from WWE sent this out as a guide for women looking to either get in or get into the planned women’s tournament where outside talent will be used and it becomes something of a tryout:

*Stop gigging on indie shows.

*Get in your best shape possible

*Start working on promos

Devon Nicholson was invited to the next WWE tryout camp on 5/19 to 5/21 in Orlando, and then last week was sent a letter that said they were uninviting him. No explanation was given. Nicholson was originally in the camp upon recommendation from Gerald Brisco.
Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen will be appearing on Saturday and Sunday at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi, MI at the Suburban Collection Showplace.  The group appearing will be Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and J.J. Dillon.  Flair, who is now friends with University of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, said he’ll be at a couple of the games this season on the sidelines.
A story on Tucker Knight returning home for the NXT show in Portland this weekend can be read here. WWE stock was down 29 cents per share today to $17.79.
Announced for the 7/16 show in Madison Square Garden is Roman Reigns vs. A.J. Styles, John Cena vs. Alberto De; Rio, Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho plus The Vaudevillains, Apollo Crews, Karl Anderson, New Day, Charlotte, Ric Flair, Kevin Owens, Luke Gallows, Usos, Natalya and Stardust.

UFC

Sunday’s UFC show did 60,000 viewers in Holland on Holland’s version of Fox Sports. They had a big TV show preview with Bob Schreiber, Rico Verhoeven, Semmy Schilt and others including a famous Dutch actor Waldemar Torenstra, who is a big fan. Alistair Overeem appeared on RTL Late Night which is a major show in the country the day after the fight. (thanks to Hank Mulder)
Reuters tried to get comments from all of the companies listed in the ESPN story regarding purchasing UFC. None of the companies denied anything, all either not responding or issuing a no comment.
Currently, www.Bovada.lv has these odds

WWE RAW Preview, Aug. 13, 2018: SummerSlam Go-Home Show

Six nights before SummerSlam, The B-Team will defend The RAW Tag Team Championship against The Deleters of Worlds and The Revival in a Triple Threat Match. Can Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas cling to their titles heading into The Biggest Event of the Summer? Plus, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss faces Natalya one-on-one and Seth Rollins meets Dolph Ziggler for their Intercontinental Title Match contract signing!
Can The B-Team Beat The Odds Yet Again?
The B-Team are one of the most bewildering underdog stories in recent WWE history, transforming from perennial losers to world-beaters seemingly overnight. However, after Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas captured The RAW Tag Team Titles from The Deleters of Worlds at WWE Extreme Rules, “Woken” Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt have stayed hot on their heels, and the hungry Revival have made clear their intent to lay waste to both teams in pursuit of Team Red’s tandem titles.

All three teams will collide in a Triple Threat Match for The RAW Tag Team Championship tonight on RAW. Will The B-Team’s fortune finally run out? And if it does, will it be The Deleters of Worlds or RAW’s “Top Guys” who walk into SummerSlam as champions?
Natalya Faces Alexa Bliss Before SummerSlam Title Bout:
Despite her interference in last week’s main event, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss watched in horror as Ronda Rousey — competing for the very first time on RAW — made Alicia Fox tap ferociously to her excruciating Armbar, sending a painful message to The Goddess before their title match at SummerSlam. Tonight on RAW, Little Miss Bliss will take on The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s friend Natalya as both Rousey and Fox look on from ringside.
Will Rousey enter the fray and get her hands on The RAW Women’s Champion before The Biggest Party of the Summer, or will Ronda let The Queen of Harts handle business in the ring?

Renee Young To Step In On RAW Announce Team As Guest Commentator Tonight:
Renee Young will be stepping in for Jonathan Coachman on The RAW announce team as a guest commentator tonight, ESPN.com reports. Coachman, meanwhile, will be fulfilling another obligation.
Young will work alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves for all three hours of the broadcast, making this the first time a woman has called an entire episode of RAW.

Don’t miss Renee Young’s historic RAW announce team debut live tonight on RAW!
Intercontinental Championship Contract Signing Set:
Even though Seth Rollins is facing Dolph Ziggler for The Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, he’s essentially also competing against the imposing Drew McIntyre. Based on what happened in this past Monday night’s Handicap Match, not even The Kingslayer can beat those odds.
Live on RAW, Rollins will meet Ziggler (and McIntyre) for the contract signing that will make their title clash official. Will The Architect be able to repel a 2-on-1 attack if chaos erupts once the ink dries?
Paul Heyman Leaves Us Hanging:
In the unaired final moment of his emotional interview with Renee Young, Paul Heyman seemed to hint that there might be one way Roman Reigns can defeat Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Why he stopped himself from speaking further remains a mystery.
So, what was Heyman going to say? Does The Beast Incarnate have a weakness that has yet to be exploited, or is it something deeper than that?
Can Braun Strowman Keep His Composure?
If Braun Strowman loses to Kevin Owens at SummerSlam in any way — be it by pinfall, submission, count-out or disqualification — he will be forced to relinquish his coveted Money in the Bank contract to KO, and given the ways in which Owens has succeeded in getting under the skin of The Monster Among Men, Strowman might find himself at a rare disadvantage in a one-on-one bout.
One week after Owens stole Strowman’s contract, leading Mr. Monster in the Bank to suffer a count-out loss to Jinder Mahal, KO’s machinations got Strowman disqualified when he inadvertently struck The Modern Day Maharaja with the briefcase.
Will Strowman keep it together this week heading into his high-stakes match at SummerSlam? Bear in mind, The Monster Among Men knocked over a stage last Monday night, so anything would be an improvement.
Don’t miss any of the action tonight on RAW!

Lucha Underground results: Rey Mysterio, Prince Puma in star-laden Trios match

Two titles are on the line tonight as Cage battles Chavo for the Gift of the Gods Title, and Rey Mysterio Jr, Prince Puma, and Dragon Azteca Jr. defend against the team of Fenix, PJ Black, and Jack Evans. It’s an unlikely team of opponents though, as Fenix is a babyface and thus an odd man out. Joey Ryan also faces Mascarita Sagrada, who is looking for his first win with Famous B by his side.

The show begins with a recap of the cop drama and the Trios Titles being won by Rey, Prince Puma, and Dragon Azteca Jr. Chavo stealing Cage’s medallion is shown, and we see him letting Chavo win so he can get a shot tonight. In Vampiro’s lair, he tells Pentagon Jr. that he’s not ready to face Matanza – while Pentagon says he has zero fear. Vamp welcomes the Voodoo Greyskulls to the show, and he runs down tonight’s card as Cage battles Chavo for the Gift of the Gods Title.

Striker talks about the main event which will see PJ Black, Jack Evans, and Fenix facing Rey, Azteca, and Puma. Joey Ryan is mid-ring while Striker calls him a hit and quit it kinda guy. Famous B comes out and gets a nice Famous B chant. He transitions it into a Mascarita chant and introduces him wonderfully, outside of getting jumped and calling him ‘MASCARITA GODDAMN!”

Joey Ryan vs. Mascarita Sagrada

Joey jumps him, but Sagrada recovers, sends him to the floor and dives onto him. Sagrada gets crotched, and then Joey offers up his lollipop to Brenda. Joey can’t lift him over his head, but is overjoyed when he lands a basic slam. Wasteland by Sagrada and a diving headbutt gets 2. Joey gets kicked low, which hurts Sagrada. A small package gets 2 for Sagrada and then Joey gets a very awkward tornado DDT for the win. B and Brenda console Sagrada while the commentators talk about how Sagrada has yet to win with Famous B by his side.

We get a Taya personality profile about how she sees confidence when she looks in the mirror. She also kicks the asses of a bunch of wacky suited ninjas, as you do. Taya says she sees the perfect woman in the mirror, and Mundo agrees. Her red dress and ass-kicking made it seem like they were going for a Ronda Rousey in Expendables 3 vibe – only with more lucha ninjas. King Cuerno talks to Mil Muertes’s body in a coffin in his office. Mil acted like he was king – but he was still in Cuerno’s jungle. Well, that was different and great. Chavo comes down and then Striker adds a billion nicknames for Cage, including the Sentinel.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Cage – Gift of the Gods Title

Chavo gets a “Cage is gonna kill you” chant right away. Cage’s new black and gold singlet looks fantastic. He starts with tons of lariats in the corners while Vamp buries Striker for saying Chavo was once one of the best in the world. Chavo tries to gain an edge with sneaky tactics, but gets caught in an apron tree slam. He rakes the eyes and gets Cage to the floor – but a dive is caught and he eats several slams against the railing. Chavo sends him to the floor with a tilt a whirl headscissors and a dive.

Chavo lands a draping DDT and gets 2. Chavo goes for the legs, but Cage tosses him into the buckle and monkey flips him. Cage catches a dive and lands a Finlay roll before a moonsault misses. Chavo gets 2, and works on the knee. Cage hits an apron kick and lands his power superplex into the ring. European uppercut sends Chavo into the corner, where Chavo tries to kick him – but eats a sitout Alabama slam that gets 2. Cage’s F5 is countered and Chavo hits a running tornado DDT for 2.

Rolling kick hits for Chavo, but a discus lariat only gets 2 for Cage thanks to Chavo getting his feet on the rope. Chavo avoids a superplex and gets a sunset bomb and a frog splash for 2.5! Chavo doe the Eddie shuffle and lands Three Amigos – but only gets two of them and Cage turns into a suplex, then a powerbomb, and then Weapon X for the win and the Gift of the Gods Title. Cage trades in his title for a shot at Matanza next week – where it will be Monster vs. Machine.

Taya takes Jack and PJ to the locker room where Fenix is laid out. Mundo replaces him and then punts Fenix for good measure. Officers Neehan and Reyes search Dario’s office since Dario and “his hot ninja” are gone. They find tons of money before Castro busts them for trying to rob Dario without him – so Reyes arrests Cisco while Neehan points a gun at him. Well, this was different and furthers the cop drama while also ending The Crew. Taya comes out and tells everyone that Fenix won’t be here, but PJ and Jack have a better partner – Mundo!

Johnny Mundo, PJ Black, and Jack Evans vs. Trios Champions Rey Mysterio, Prince Puma, and Dragon Azteca Jr.

Jack starts with Azteca and lets everyone know he still hates dragons.  Jack flips around a bit, but eats a dropkick and some nasty chops in the corner. Azteca hits a double-jump armdrag sending Jack to the corner. A triangle dropkick sends Jack to the floor. PJ comes in to face Puma, and Puma gets tied to a tree of woe before Jack attacks in the corner. Mundo lands a tornado kick while Puma tries to rise up. PJ comes in and gets 2 off of that match. Mundo and PJ land a double backbody drop for 2.

Puma uses Jack and PJ against each other and forces PJ to DDT Jack with a flying lariat. Rey comes in to face Mundo and sends him down with a deja vu headscissors. Puma and Azteca kick away at Mundo. They get 2 off a legdrop while Jack jumps in for a save. Johnny turns Puma and Azteca’s bodies against each other by catching Azteca and sending Azteca into Puma in the corner. PJ gets 2 off a pop-up cutter. Evans comes in and lands a tornado kick before Rey sends Mundo to the floor. Azteca lands a springboard rana to the floor and sends Mundo into the apron.

Evans goes up, but gets crotched. Puma sends him down and that results in Evans hitting a wacky kick before hitting a pop-up rana that sends Puma into PJ where PJ eats a rana. Rey kicks PJ into the ropes for a 619, which hits. Puma’s 630 hits and only gets 2 because Mundo pulls the ref out. Mundo kicks Rey low before Mundo and Taya land a double superkick. PJ kicks Puma in the crotch and Evans kicks Puma low too! PJ goes for a brainbuster, but Jack kicks him low first and then the Wellness Policy hits. Johnny goes for the End of the World, but it only gets 2! Mundo goes for a German superplex, but Puma flips back and tags Azteca. Azteca gets a code red, but Jack chairshots him and Mundo cradles him for the win! PJ Black, Jack Evans, and Johnny Mundo win it – giving us two new champions tonight.

News on ROH/NJPW MSG Show & Possible WWE Retaliation

With the ROH/NJPW Show at Madison Square Garden next year selling out almost immediately, it was a setback for WWE for two reasons – the first, that the show was allowed to happen in the first place after the company thought that they had blocked it and second, that it sold out so quickly.

With eight months left before the event, there is always a chance that WWE will retaliate by trying to pry key talent away and two ways they could do that is by offering a lighter schedule for wrestlers who aren’t keen on working a ton of dates (which WWE can do now since house shows are not a huge source of revenue anymore) and of course, by just offering them more money and outbidding everyone else.

WWE Superstars results: ‘The Demonic’ Viktor vs. Jack Swagger, plus Paige in action!

The Big Takeaway: Paige made a rare appearance on Superstars and Jack Swagger beat Viktor from The Ascension in the main event.

*****

Paige beat Summer Rae (4:20)

Paige came out, much to my surprise. This is her first appearance in a year on this show and she has been very underutilized of late on WWE television. But that’s fine, I find her intensely annoying. Here, for some reason, she continually stuck her tongue out and looked, more than ever, like a Goth

It occurred to me, as they locked up, that what they should do with Summer is pair her up with Charlotte, since they’re both from North Carolina. What else they do with her is beyond me, but both these women are good and being underused right now.

They both exchange dance moves early on until Paige trips Rae and kicks her down, covering her for two. Rae hits Paige with a jawbreaker, but is then caught by Paige who uses a fallaway slam. On the apron Paige uses multiple knees to midriff and then, when they go outside, is caught by Rae who smacks her with a leg lariat. Back inside, Rae uses kicks to the back and then smacks Paige’s head into the mat. Paige tries a small package but can only get two and immediately eats a clothesline.

Rae ties her up with her legs pinning Paige in a double chickenwing. She follows this with a body scissors but Paige elbows her way out. Paige then gets the heat with a clothesline and a running knee, followed by a super kick. She then locks in the Paige Tapout for the win.

Jack Swagger beat Viktor (9:09)

Viktor is still rocking the sub-par Papa Shango look this week, while Konnor serves his suspension. Swagger tries for an early Patriot Lock as “USA!” chants start up. He tries for it again but Viktor is able to get to the bottom rope.

Swagger hits Viktor with consecutive gutwrench suplexes to the mat and then rolls him into a two count. Out of the Irish whip, Swagger ducks clotheslines and drives Viktor to the mat with a shoulder barge. He then trips Viktor and again goes for the Patriot Lock, but it is countered this time and Viktor shoves Swagger into the second rope. He then rolls him up for a two count as we head to a break.

As we return Swagger is being whipped from pillar to post and getting beaten down. Viktor puts him in a side headlock. Viktor then hits what ought to be his finisher, a spinning uppercut, and goes up top. Swagger catches him, though, and throws him off the top rope in a belly-to-belly suplex.

Swagger then takes control, hitting Viktor with a clothesline to the corner that sets up the Swagger Bomb. When Viktor tries a cross body, Swagger catches him mid-air and locks in the Patriot Lock in the middle of the ring for the win.
