WWE Smackdown Viewership Drops Along with Raw, Posts Lowest Number of the Year

As noted, this week’s WWE Raw hit a new viewership low for 2018, coming on the heels of the critically panned WWE Backlash PPV this past Sunday night.

This week’s WWE Smackdown, which featured more Backlash fallout along with three big Money in the Bank qualifying matches, followed in Raw’s footsteps and saw a sizable drop in viewership.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s WWE Smackdown viewership averaged 2.293 million, which is down from last week’s 2.436 million viewership average. Last week’s Smackdown featured final Backlash hype along with fallout from the Greatest Royal Rumble event.

This week’s WWE Smackdown was able to top last week’s show as the least watched episode since the October 31st, 2017 broadcast, airing on Halloween night.

This week’s WWE Smackdown ranked #9 in overall cable TV viewership.
