Update On Dolph Ziggler’s Smackdown Status and Creative Plans, Numerous Men’s Royal Rumble Statistics

As seen at WWE Royal Rumble last night, Dolph Ziggler made his return to WWE TV and entered the Royal Rumble match at number 30.

Ziggler had previously been off WWE TV selling the angle he did at the December 19th Smackdown taping during which he vacated his newly won WWE U.S. Title. According to PWInsider.com, Ziggler is expected to be at Smackdown Live tomorrow night in Philadelphia, and current plans call for Ziggler to feud with Bobby Roode for the United States Title.

As we noted earlier today, WWE originally had Dolph Ziggler penciled in to face Bobby Roode for the U.S. Title in the Open Challenge match at the Royal Rumble, however those plans were scrapped in favor of having Ziggler return in the Rumble match.
