Tony Cascarino explains why Liverpool’s squad depth means Jurgen Klopp’s side can keep unbeaten Premier League run going

Goals from Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah helped a much-changed Reds side convincingly beat Bournemouth on Saturday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp made seven changes to the line-up that thrashed Everton 5-2 three days earlier, with Keita making his first league start of the campaign.

The result meant Liverpool moved 14 points clear of title rivals Man City, who suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United later in the day.

No matter the changes Klopp makes Liverpool just cannot stop winning, and former Chelsea striker Cascarino is so impressed by the superb squad he has created at Anfield.

Cas said on Sunday’s Weekend Sports Breakfast: “Over the last few days it’s an extraordinary thing because Klopp spoke about the games coming up in December, and with the Everton and Bournemouth games there were only four players who played in both.

“So he’s used all of his squad – every one of them has chipped in with goals.

“So what that’s telling you is: not only is Liverpool’s first XI tremendously well-suited to keep getting performances and goals, he can change his team around and the goals aren’t stopping.
