News on WWE Crown Jewel; More on WWE Evolution PPV

— As noted before, WWE is bringing a significant smaller crew to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel compared to for April’s Greatest Royal Rumble. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this will likely result in the company turning in a higher profit margin for this show with only 19 wrestlers on the show and ten total matches including the World Cup tournament.

— WWE originally announced that every female wrestler under contract to Raw, Smackdown and NXT would be active and performing at the upcoming WWE Evolution PPV, but this plan have changed reports the Observer Newsletter. Only a handful of NXT competitors have been announced or hinted at so it remains to be seen how many other NXT talent will be called up to compete.

— Every woman on Raw and Smackdown who is not booked into a match is expected to be involved in the battle royal to crown a new #1 contender for her brand’s title and the legends currently announced for the match are Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Ivory, Molly Holly and Madusa – though others were reportedly contacted and have agreed to wrestle as well.
