FFF president Noël Le Graët could leave position in January

So Foot report via footamateur.fr this afternoon that the president of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graët, has reportedly announced that he would be resigning from his position at the turn of the calendar year.

The latter website claim to have spoken to the director of a regional league, who says he was told Le Graët would only be staying at the FFF for another four months.

An FFF employee has told the outlet that he has been hearing that Le Graët intends to step down since the start of the summer, as he is “tired“. Another source claims that he only set off the rumour he was resigning in order to see what would happen.

A So Foot investigation from last week alleged that the president had been sending inappropriate text messages to younger female colleagues, claims which he has not responded to.

Florence Hardouin, the director general of the FFF who was also named in So Foot’s investigation, is said to have been lobbying in the last few weeks for Philippe Diallo to take the presidency. Le Graët’s favourite to succeed him is Strasbourg president Marc Keller.
