Could Daniel Bryan Make More Money On the Indie’s Than In WWE?, Velveteen Dream Sends a Message to John Cena

The unlikely scenario of John Cena making his NXT debut to face standout Velveteen Dream becomes more of a possibility with each passing day, as the two continue fanning the flames of a potential matchup.

Last week we noted that John Cena took part in a Q&A at MegaCon in Orlando, and during the appearance, he admitted Velveteen Dream could be “the one” in WWE, and said he would love to have a match in NXT.

Velveteen Dream then responded on Twitter, and WWE even picked up on the budding feud when Cathy Kelley discussed it in the latest episode of “WWE Now” which you can watch above.

Velveteen Dream has since Tweeted the following, noting he is “here” for John Cena whenever Cena wants it:

Could Daniel Bryan Make More Money On the Indie’s Than In WWE?

As noted, Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract is set to expire in September of this year, and on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio show hosts, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer, speculated on the Smackdown star’s future.

When the topic of money came up, Meltzer noted Bryan could not make as much money on the independent scene right now as he could make in WWE, adding, “he cannot make more than he does in WWE, not now.”

Meltzer noted that economic changes could always alter things, but at this point, for a star like Bryan is in WWE, if money is a priority to the former World Champion then WWE is his best option.
