As noted, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract is set to expire following WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, however according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is an option in the deal for both WWE and Lesnar to renew following the PPV in April. As of this writing, the feeling is Lesnar will re-sign with WWE once his contract expires.

Additionally, should Brock Lesnar and WWE part ways after WrestleMania 34, WWE has certain rights included in Brock Lesnar’s deal which would not expire until August of 2018, and could prevent him from making a return to UFC after April of next year.

A UFC fight between Lesnar and Jon Jones has been rumored ever since Jones publicly issued a challenge to The Beast, however according to a new report by MMA Weekly, UFC President Dana White feels WWE would not allow Brock Lesnar to crossover to UFC again, like they did with Lesnar’s bout at UFC 200.

“Lesnar was still under contract with WWE till next August,” White revealed on the Dan LeBatard show recently. “Who knows what would have happened. I don’t count my chickens anymore, I’ll tell you that.”

With regards to WWE granting Lesnar permission to fight while still under contract, White said, “[WWE] didn’t want to do that again. You saw what happened last time he was under contract and it doesn’t look good for anybody.”

Furthermore, The Wrestling Observer notes that Dana White has a good business relationship with Triple H, however the situation is much different with Vince McMahon despite WWE having ties with WME IMG, the current owners of UFC.
