Team Authority Opens Up RAW

The WWE Survivor Series “go-home” edition of WWE RAW opens up with “Team Authority” making their way down to the ring to the tune of Triple H’s “King of Kings” theme song.

“The Game” begins by reminding everyone of the heavy-duty stipulation surrounding the “Team Cena” vs. “Team Authority” match at Survivor Series. From there, Stephanie McMahon hops on the mic and talks about how they’re going to win.

HHH talks about how the “WWE Universe” are all sheep. He reminds everyone that while they cheer for Vince McMahon now, it wasn’t too long ago when he was the “evil Mr. McMahon.” He says if Team Authority lose, the inmates will run the asylum. He says the last time the inmates ran the asylum was in a place called WCW, a company they picked up at an auction.

HHH and Steph promise that tonight, “Team Cena” will be decimated. He says there will be a contract signing tonight and we’ll see who’s left and who’s willing to sign on as part of Cena’s team.

After running down “Team Authority” one-by-one, Stephanie McMahon is interrupted by Ryback. Steph talks about how emotions ran high last week and they may have made some decisions that they regret. She says, “isn’t that right, Kane?” Kane says he regrets his actions.

Stephanie says they respect Ryback, but John Cena doesn’t. She says this footage will prove it. A clip airs of Cena cutting a promo on Ryback last year on a few different occasions, talking trash about him and mocking him.

Once the footage is done, Steph says the video speaks for itself. She says Cena is jealous of him. She asks if that is someone he can trust and go to battle with. She asks if he wants the contempt of Team Cena or the respect of Team Authority.

Ryback says he plays for the one team he can count on, and that’s Team Ryback. The fans don’t react at all as he walks away. You could literally hear a pin drop. HHH says it’s a wise decision and he’s smart to stay out of the fight. He says for everyone who is in the fight — the decimation starts now.

He tells Luke Harper to stay in the ring now. He says the decimation starts now. He makes a match between Harper and Dolph Ziggler. With that said, Ziggler’s music hits and out he comes.

When we return from commercial, we see Seth Rollins sitting at ringside as a guest commentator for this match. Lilian Garcia announces that she was just informed during the break that this will be an Intercontinental Championship match.

Both guys are introduced and as soon as the introductions are done, Joey Mercury and Jaie Noble, who were at ringside with Rollins, hit the ring and jump Ziggler. Rollins joins in and blasts Ziggler with his Money In The Bank briefcase. The three leave the ring as Michael Cole informs us that the match hasn’t even started yet.

Ziggler takes a while, but finally crawls back to his feet. As soon as he does, the bell rings to make this one official. Harper then immediately blasts Ziggler with a big boot, covers him AND …Ziggler kicks out at two. Harper then hits a big seated powerbomb and covers him, but Ziggler again manages to kick out at two. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial.

We’re back from the break and we see Harper still in firm control of the offense in this I-C title match with “The Show Off.” Out of nowhere, however, Ziggler nails Harper with a FameAsser. Harper still manages to kick out at two and then quickly takes over the offense once again. Out of nowhere, Harper launches Ziggler in the air and then blasts him with the big clothesline. 1-2-3. We have a new I-C champion, folks.

After the match, Rollins enters the ring and hits Ziggler with a Curb Stomp. From there, we head to another commercial break.
