WWE On Tonight’s ‘All Or Nothing’ NXT Match, Jeff Jarrett Explains Leaving WWE, Gable Struck By Pancake (Videos)

WWE has released the above video.

After leaving WWE for WCW and then returning, Jeff Jarrett explains what he’s looking to prove.

WWE On Tonight’s ‘All Or Nothing’ NXT Match

WWE.com has released the following preview for tonight’s WWE NXT:

Click Here: Portugal soccer tracksuitJohnny Gargano risks his NXT career in NXT Title Match against Andrade “Cien” AlmasThe fiesta meets the experienceVanessa Borne readies for a punishing playdate with Nikki Cross

Johnny Gargano takes the ultimate gamble tonight, putting his NXT career on the line in an NXT Championship Match against Andrade “Cien” Almas, exclusively on WWE Network.

If he succeeds, Gargano will finally ascend the throne in NXT, adding a storybook ending to his arduous journey of self-doubt and eventual self-discovery. Plus, he will have shaken the figurative monkey off his back, proving to Almas and Zelina Vega that he can take down El Idolo, a Superstar he has yet to defeat.

If Gargano loses, however, the beloved Johnny Wrestling must leave NXT for good, leaving behind not just the brand he helped raise to another level, but also the faithful NXT fans who’ve had his back every step of the way.

The stakes could not be higher.

Gargano and Almas produced a title bout that was nothing short of an instant classic at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia in January. With Gargano’s career in jeopardy this time around, there’s no telling how far he will go to protect his livelihood in the black-and-yellow brand or how far Almas will go to rid himself of his doggedly determined challenger once and for all.

Don’t miss this must-see encounter when it goes down tonight on NXT, streaming at 8/7 C exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.

Brawn hopes title isn’t decided ‘in the barriers or stewards office’

Ross Brawn doubts Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will back off in the remaining races of 2021, but the F1 chief hopes the title won’t be decided off the track or “in the barriers”.

Three races after their high profile clash at the British Grand Prix in July, Verstappen and Hamilton battled once again last weekend for the same piece of tarmac.

But this time, both drivers came off worse when they slid off the track mid-race at Monza’s first chicane and into a costly retirement.

Verstappen was ultimately blamed for the run-off, but Brawn believes that both drivers could have avoided the skirmish.

“Max and Lewis visited the stewards after the race and it was Max who was given the blame – and a three-place grid penalty for Russia – for causing the collision at the first chicane,” said Brawn in his post-race column for F1.com.

“Fans will be split, I’m sure. It’s clear both drivers could have avoided it.

“Ultimately I think it’s another consequence of two guys going head to head and not wanting to give inch.

“It’s a shame they ended up in the gravel because it could have shaped up to be a great race – and we were deprived of that.

“I’m interested to see what impact this has on their on-going battle for the title. We have lived through Silverstone which was a major and controversial incident.”

Brawn doesn’t believe the on-track fracas between Verstappen and Hamilton, or its consequences, will deter the two drivers from butting heads in the remaining rounds given the stakes at play.

“Personally, I wouldn’t say it has changed the dynamic. You’ve got two cockerels in the farmyard at the moment and we are seeing the consequence of it,” added Brawn.

“I don’t think either will back off at any moment for the rest of the year but I hope the championship is won on the track not in the barriers or the stewards room.”

We Ranked The Top Five Reasons To Watch WWE 205 Live

When the Cruiserweight Classic burst onto the WWE Network, wrestling fans were amazed at how different the show was presented and was genuinely gripped by the cruiserweight tournament. That potential wasn’t quite lived up to with the creation of WWE 205 Live, and despite the fact, there have been some highs, overall the show has struggled.

Yet in recent weeks, WWE has clearly invested more effort into the product, with a 205 Live general manager in the form of Drake Maverick and a tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion at WWE WrestleMania 34 there is plenty to get invested in at the most important time of the year.

With incredible fast-paced matches on a weekly basis with everything on the line in a knockout tournament, there is no better time to get involved and start watching 205 Live and we will give you five reasons why you should be watching.

Big Update On Bobby Fish’s NXT Status Following Injury, WWE Champion Issues WrestleMania 34 Open Challenge

As we noted over the weekend, WWE NXT stars Bobby Fish and Montez Ford suffered injuries leaving their in-ring statuses in doubt.

With regards to Bobby Fish, he suffered some type of knee injury at Saturday night’s NXT live event in Indianapolis, during The Undisputed Era’s tag team match against Heavy Machinery.

As a result of the injury, Fish will not be working tomorrow night’s WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University, reports Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com. While the extent of Fish’s injury is currently unknown, Meltzer added there is internal fear that Fish’s injury could be serious enough to keep him off next month’s NXT Takeover New Orleans event, at which Undisputed Era is scheduled to defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

WWE Champion Issues WrestleMania 34 Open Challenge

Following The Bar defeating The Revival on WWE Raw last night, WWE has been teasing there are no teams left on Raw to challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for the Tag Team Titles, and as of now, team does not have a pair of challengers set for WrestleMania 34.

We noted earlier today, via PWInsider.com, that the current plan in WWE is for “a team not currently a team” to challenge The Bar for the titles in New Orleans, and Sheamus today issued an open challenge for anyone to step up and face The Bar at ‘Mania:

Who will Step Up To #TheBar at #WrestleMania34?

MMA News Roundup: Conor McGregor/50 Cent Twitter War, CM Punk vs. Floyd Mayweather?, Werdum – WWE, More

We’re creeping up on a rare, quiet weekend in the world of MMA. UFC will not be promoting any big shows until next Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 127: Werdum vs. Volkov event at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Although there aren’t any big events this weekend, there are a lot of big news items coming out of the world of MMA. With that said, let’s step out of the squared circle for a brief visit into the Octagon. Featured below are some of the big news items coming out of the world of MMA.

CONOR MCGREGOR & 50 CENT TRADE SHOTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

UFC mega-star “The Notorious” Conor McGregor and hip-hop mega-star 50 Cent have been going back-and-forth on social media the past week.

50 Cent released a video talking about the UFC Lightweight Champion after his loss to boxing pound-for-pound legend and the rap stars’ friend, Floyd Mayweather. 50 Cent claimed McGregor was talented, “for a white boy,” before going on to make the claim that white athletes aren’t as talented or hard-working as black athletes.

McGregor, never one to back down from a war-of-words or a war of any kind, responded on “International Women’s Day” by posting a picture of 50 Cent on Instagram without his shirt on and claiming that the rap star “needs to wear a bra,” before taking a number of other shots at him.

Obviously this is never going to go anywhere in terms of an actual fight, but it certainly makes for entertaining social media browsing on a slow day!

JOE ROGAN: “CM PUNK VS. FLOYD MAYWEATHER IS THE FIGHT TO MAKE”

If you take longtime UFC announcer Joe Rogan’s word for it, the fight to make for Floyd Mayweather if he were to cross over into the world of MMA, is former WWE Superstar Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.

According to Rogan, both guys are at about the same level of experience in terms of actual professional MMA fighting and if they could find a catch weight to meet at, they would make sense on paper as a fight that could be promoted by the UFC.

“I think that’s the fight to make,” Rogan said of a potential Mayweather-Punk bout. “I don’t know if it will ever happen but I think if it ever does happen, it happens on its’ own individual card. You put a kick-ass card underneath it but I don’t know if you put like a UFC 200 size kick-ass card underneath it.”

Joe Rogan would go on to elaborate, shifting more towards what would happen if Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor were to meet in a rematch inside the Octagon under MMA rules.

FIRAS ZAHABI PREDICTS GSP VS. MCGREGOR WOULD BE BIGGEST FIGHT EVER

While we’re taking MMA experts opinions on things, it’s time to see what world-renound MMA trainer Firas Zahabi thinks would be the biggest single fight in the history of combat sports.

Zahabi, who runs the Tristar Gym out of Canada and is most well-known for being the longtime trainer of consensus all-time great Georges “Rush” St-Pierre, claims a fight between GSP and Conor McGregor would be a bigger fight than Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor was.

“I think it would just be a mega-fight that the fans want to see,” Zahabi said in a video he released this week. “It would just be a super mega-fight that everybody in the world would want to see. I think it would be a bigger fight than Mayweather-McGregor. I think it would be the biggest fight in history and everybody would for sure want to see it. I donít make the fights, but if I did, that would be one Iíd make.î

FABRICIO WERDUM CLEARS UP WWE RUMORS

Before we close-up shop, it wouldn’t be a MMA News Roundup for pro wrestling fans without mentioning the big “crossover” story of the week, as former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum spoke about having a meeting scheduled with WWE this week.

Werdum, who is currently ranked number three in the UFC’s heavyweight division, initially told MMA journalist Ariel Helwani that he was meeting with WWE this week about potentially doing both pro wrestling and MMA fights at the same time.

“I think that both [at the same time]is doable,” said Werdum. “You can do WWE. If I had the opportunity Iíd fight there, no problem. Itís financially great. [A] fight at WWE, a spectacle that is fun to do. Iíd definitely do it. I have a meeting Thursday about it, doing both [UFC and WWE]. I want to fight, [it]doesnít matter where.”

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion would later correct himself, posting a tweet clearing up the confusion he created himself with the above comments he made to Helwani. He stated the following the day after the Helwani interview on his official Twitter page.

“Hey guys to make it clear I spoke about maybe doing Lucha libre in MÈxico. Not WWE. I meant WWE style (pro wrestling) but I am a @ufc fighter and my focus 100% is fighting in the ufc and whatever decision I make after my fighting career @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 will be involved.”

That will do it for this installment of the MMA News Roundup. Make sure to keep your eyes out for the news Roundup and until then, follow day-to-day coverage of MMA news, interviews and event coverage at our affiliate website, MMANews.com.
