— Despite rumors suggesting that WWE will having their first ever tag team Money in the Bank ladder match, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, sources have suggested to him that there are no plans for the company to do that, at least not for the PPV next month.
— As always, plans have changed and could still change with the PPV still weeks away, but it appears WWE is going to stick with the two MitB matches involving men and women from both brands.

Haas team boss Guenther Steiner said in Bahrain on Friday that the US outfit will reveal its all-new driver line-up for 2021 in the next two weeks.
Haas is expected to confirm a rookie formation comprising Ferrari junior Mick Schumacher and Russian F2 charger Nikita Mazepin.
However, as both drivers are engaged in this weekend’s FIA Formula 2 Championship finale in Bahrain, Haas is logically reluctant to distract the pair from their commitments at Sakhir.
“We plan to announce it before the season is ending,” said Steiner. “We don’t know exactly the date yet, or the day, but it’s not long to wait. It’s a maximum of two weeks, so please be patient.”
With just three points to its name in 2020, Haas’ season has obviously fallen short of expectations, with Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen struggling to extract pace as well as consistency from the team’s VF-20.
Formula 1’s decision to extend the life of this year’s chassis into 2021 and regulations that will allow for only limited development mean that Haas will likely be hard-pressed to improve its fortunes next season.
But Magnussen believes the period of restrained progress is perhaps the right time to bring in a pair of young apprentices.

“If we bring in rookies – if – I think next year is a good time to bring in rookies,” said the Dane.
“Because next year the car will not be developed a lot. There’s a freeze on the car, a homologation of the car, so you cannot make big changes.
“Obviously we can make aero changes, but the car will not change in terms of fundamentals.
“So it’s a development, and not a new development. And next year our focus will be on the ’22 car anyway, so I think it’s a transition year.
“I think it will be a good year for rookies to come in, to learn about being in F1 to start off with, getting to know the people around, getting to know how to go to press conferences, and things like this.”

— It is expected that Kurt Angle and Triple H will will work most of the mixed tag match scheduled for WrestleMania 34 that will also include Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon. The two wrestlers will carry things and build towards high spots with Rousey and Stephanie. The entire match is likely to be mapped out spot-for-spot and move-for-move, at least where the women’s limited involvement will be.
— There was also some speculation that Rousey’s husband, Travis Browne, would end up being her tag team partner to make it a husband/wife storyline, but it appears that was nixed as it would leave Triple H as the only experienced wrestler involved, which would put the entire match at jeopardy.
— As we reported before, one potential opponent for Cesaro & Sheamus are the Hardys, with Jeff very close to returning after shoulder surgery. Other possibilities include the Revival as well as Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, who have recently turned face. The tag team title match at WrestleMania could also be a multi-team match featuring all of these competitors.

— As noted before, WWE has refrained from booking Braun Strowman into a match at WrestleMania 34 because he’s been pegged as the “backup” if the Roman Reigns/steroid situation becomes a mess. The feeling was that it was better to leave him out of a match in case something changes rather than scheduling him in something else and then being forced to reshape the card if something bad happens with Reigns.

— At this time, if Lesnar vs. Reigns goes on as expected, the plan is for Strowman to not even wrestle at the PPV but instead be involved in a “non-wrestling gimmick thing.”

Following Tuesday night’s WWE television tapings, which included SmackDown Live, 205 Live and Mixed Match Challenge, as well as Monday’s RAW, the card for WrestleMania 34 is taking shape.
As noted, Shane McMahon announced Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn for the show, Cedric Alexander advanced to the finals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship tournament and will meet the winner of the Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak match from 205 Live, and WWE announced the first-ever Fabulous Moolah Women’s Battle Royal match.
With these matches now known, below is a look at the updated official lineup thus far for this year’s WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view. — According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, if WWE clears Daniel Bryan to compete in a match, they will not ease him in and have him stand around in a tag team match while barely tagging in. If WWE was going to do that or only tease his return, they would have likely already done that last year.
— Bryan, as has been reported multiple times over the past few days, continues to push hard to get cleared by WWE. He has been undergoing a new hyperbaric chamber treatment for approximately the last one year and has gotten the go ahead from other non-WWE doctors. It is believed that something may have changed with his status given his interview over the weekend as well as WWE changing plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. However, ultimately it comes down to WWE doctors clearing him and those doctors are out to protect the company.

— WWE had been trying their best to keep most of the Hall of Fame inductees and people who will induct them quiet. While only the Dudleys have revealed that Edge & Christian will be inducting them, the belief has always been that Heyman would be doing the honors for Goldberg, however, all parties – Heyman, Goldberg and WWE were doing their best to keep this a secret for the last few weeks.
As noted, Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently appeared as a guest on CBS Sports’ “In This Corner” podcast to promote WrestleMania 34.
During the interview, Triple H spoke about recently gaining creative control of the 205 Live division and his goal to make it more exciting.

“I think it’s a work in progress,” said Triple H. “I think we did the ‘Cruiserweight Classic’ and it was an excitement and an opportunity. We jumped on making it into its own show, but I don’t know if that was totally just kind of thought out in the right way or done in the right way. I think we made an attempt at it that. Vince will say a lot that the business is like flavors – chocolate and vanilla – and not everyone is going to agree on the flavors. So we went in the direction of a certain flavor. We gave them vanilla and people weren’t buying the flavor of vanilla, so we went back to chocolate and people are seeming to like that again.”
“The great thing about [WWE] is we can change them on a dime,” Triple H added. “We can put it in a different direction, and if people don’t like something, just keep watching [because] we are probably going to get you there. We are probably going to get you to a place that works for everyone. That is the intent. I think 205 continues to be a work in progress. I’m excited about that opportunity for all of the athletes there because, for a lot of them, there was no road in front of them. There was no big path, and it was doing what they were doing but this opened up doors for them. Hopefully it will continue to grow, much like NXT has, much like the [United Kingdom efforts] will and all of that. I think there is tremendous opportunity and in some way we are just kind of nicking the surface of where we will be.”

– As noted, WWE will be airing a “WrestleMania’s Greatest Moments” special on Thursday on the USA Network as part of WrestleMania Week. The special will be hosted by Jonathan Coachman and Charly Caruso and will re-air on the WWE Network on Friday at midnight. — After no showing for scheduled match last night and missing again this morning for a scheduled autograph signing, Alberto El Patron is reportedly gone from Impact Wrestling pending an official statement from the company either today or tomorrow.
— While there was a rumor that Alberto actually called in sick for his match yesterday in the Impact vs. Lucha Underground event, his fellow wrestlers backstage are of the belief that he simply blew off the show by no-showing as he was perfectly fine earlier in the day during a press conference.
— According to pwinsider.com, Ed Nordholm is apparently staying at the same hotel as Alberto and attempted to get in touch with him, but was unable to do so which may have led to the release. Some Impact officials were said to be very worried about his well-being since they had not heard from him all evening and there was even talk of getting the police involved so they could do a wellness check on him.
