Ahead of the Independence Day, a non-Kashmiri was thrashed by locals for trying to hoist the national flag in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk area. Srinagar has been put on high alert after a scuffle broke between locals and the person who tried to hoist the flag.
The man was later rescued by the CRPF.
According to a report by India Today, Jammu and Kashmir Police told that a man, whose identity has not been revealed, tried to unfurl the tricolour and it resulted in tension in the area.
