L’Équipe report today that despite going through a first season at Paris Saint-Germain marred by injury, Sergio Ramos is intent on honouring his two-year contract at the club.

The 35-year-old has suffered an ongoing calf problem since his arrival, which has limited him to just five appearances and seen his free transfer from Real Madrid called into question.
Ramos will undergo a final assessment today with regard to his availability for tomorrow’s match against Monaco – if he has still not recovered, the Spaniard will return after the international break against Lorient.
The defender himself is aware that his move has not gone to plan, but has no intention of walking away and intends to stay for the duration of his contract.
On signing, the former Real Madrid captain was told he would not be a guaranteed starter, but that he was bringing in his leadership, hence why he travelled with the squad for the Champions League clash last week. Nevertheless, the PSG management’s position is still unclear when it comes to Ramos’ future.
