An attorney for Robert Kraft shed light on how Kraft’s legal team plans on fighting soliciting prostitution charges, accusing Florida law enforcement of acting illegally and asking the state attorney to investigate. Kraft, 77, pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of soliciting another to commit prostitution stemming from visits to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Fla., the day before and morning of the AFC Championship Game in January.
“There was no human trafficking and law enforcement knows it,” William Burck told ESPN Friday night. “The video and the traffic stop were illegal and law enforcement just doesn’t want to admit it. The state attorney needs to step up and do the right thing and investigate how the evidence in this case was obtained.”

The video Burck referenced shows Kraft paying for sex acts at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa & Massage in Jupiter, Fla., authorities said. A Florida sheriff who led the human trafficking sting said Thursday the videos “are probably going to get released.”
After Kraft’s first visit, the vehicle he was in was pulled over by police. The officer asked for Kraft’s identification, despite Kraft being in the front-passenger seat.
Burck’s statement was the first to come out of Kraft’s camp since a spokesperson for the Patriots owner denied Kraft did anything illegal the day the charges were announced.
Multiple outlets reported this week Kraft was rejecting a plea offer from prosecutors that would have dropped his case had he admitted he would have bee found guilty if the case went to trial. A source told The Boston Globe Kraft was adamant about never admitting guilt.
