A Muslim youth and his Hindu girlfriend who had gone missing from their homes four days ago were found dead in a car outside the Mulund metropolitan magistrate’s court early on Wednesday.
Although no suicide note was found in the vehicle or on their persons, based on circumstantial evidence and statements of their close relatives, prima facie, police suspect it to be a case of suicide. Mulund police have recovered two bottles of suspected poison from the car.
Cops said the couple might have taken the extreme step due to opposition from their parents as they belonged to different religions.
