RMC Sport report this morning that Maxence Caqueret has received an offer from Milan, leading him to consider his options, with a renewal offer on the table with Lyon.
The midfielder, who is set to return from injury, sees his current deal expire at the end of next season. After initially unsuccessful talks in autumn, he has now received an offer from Les Gones that would quadruple his salary and assurances that he would become captain in the future.

Nevertheless, Caqueret is still reflecting on his future, with Milan approaching the 22-year-old with an offer to join next season. The likelihood remains that he will stay with his formative club, though.
The fact that the Rossoneri will be playing in the Champions League next season is a factor in his decision making, while Lyon’s European hopes are dwindling with each passing week.
Caqueret would be joining a growing cohort of French players under Stefano Pioli’s management, with Olivier Giroud, Pierre Kalulu, Théo Hernandez and Mike Maignan already at the club.
