WWE Studios’s “Marine 5” movie shoot was reported to the oversight body for a workplace incident last month in Canada.
According to a report released by WorkSafeBC to the Vancouver Sun, there was an incident involving suspected carbon monoxide poisoning on June 10.
One worker fell unconscious on the movie set and two others were hospitalized for “ill health effects.”
The incident occurred during a shoot involving a fog machine, two motorcycles, and a 1980s American-made pick-up truck, which had engine problems.
The production team was filming an action scene underground and the area’s ventilation system was “kept off for significant durations to maintain the foggy conditions and minimize noise during the film shoot.”
Also, the ventilation system had last been serviced in August 2012, and was overdue for service in August 2013.
It’s unclear if penalties will be assessed for the apparent workplace violation.
“Marine 5” stars The Miz, along with his wife Maryse, and several other WWE stars. The movie was filmed in British Columbia, Canada over a period of a month.
