Harry Kane injury: Tottenham forward risks multiple long-term absences EVERY season, says Tony Cascarino

Kane, the England captain, could be out for the remainder of the season having picked up another injury during Tottenham’s Champions League defeat of Manchester City.

The 25-year-old appeared to roll his left ankle during a clash with Fabian Delph, the Manchester City defender, which resulted in him leaving the pitch before walking out the stadium on crutches while wearing a protective boot.

Mauricio Pochettino, the Tottenham manager, admitted after the match that Kane may have suffered ligament damage to his ankle, the same injury which kept him sidelined for around a month earlier this year.

Kane missed eight matches due to the issue between January and February, and, if the injury is relating to his ankle, it becomes a worrying trend for the striker.
