The first NXT TakeOver event of 2018 has come and gone, and it was a newsworthy event.
Trevor Mann (Ricochet), War Machine and Ethan Carter III (EC3) were shown sitting at ringside during the show, as was Candice LaRae, who got physically involved in the main event.
LaRae attacked Zelina Vega after she got involved in the NXT World Championship match between current title-holder Andrade “Cien” Almas and her husband, Johnny Gargano.
During the NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia pre-show, the NXT 2017 Year End Awards were revealed. Those went as follows:
