Update On Roxxi-TNA, TNA Shopping Around For New TV Partners, Bobby Lashley

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

— As noted earlier, former TNA Knockout Roxxi (Nicole Raczynski) worked an Impact taping earlier this week to participate in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament. It was apparently a one-night return as Roxxi told people nobody said anything to her about returning as a regular nor was she offered a contract with the organization. She had just started working with the AAA promotion in Mexico and contacted them to say even though she worked for TNA, she’s still ready to work for them.

Roxxi was let go by TNA this past April after she and Rhaka Khan had a problem in a match that carried over backstage resulting in both being suspended. When Roxxi was let go, it was believed to be as result of Khan’s relationship with Kurt Angle at the time.

— As part of their new three-year contract with Spike, TNA is not exclusive to them. Considering Spike didn’t pick up any additional series in their new deal, TNA is free to shop around new television shows to other television networks. There has been talk of creating separate shows on the Knockouts and X Division, as well as a series similar to the online talk show The Spin Cycle where talent discuss current affairs and wrestling.

— UFC fighter Nate Marquardt, who trained with Bobby Lashley, was not complimentary of him in an interview with Jonathan Snowden, saying, “I train with two of the best heavyweights in the world, Shane Carwin and Brendan Schaub. And he’s not anywhere near them. I’ve trained with Bobby a couple of times and for some reason he doesn’t have a loyalty to our team. I’ve kind of written him off. I’m loyal to my guys.”
