— CBS News New York is reporting that the man who attacked Bret Hart at last night’s Hall of Fame ceremonies has been arrested, jailed and charged with two counts of assault as well as trespassing. The name of the accused is Zachary Madsen and he is currently being held at the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn, NY.
— While Hart was speaking about the Hart Foundation, Madsen eluded security and ran into the ring and tackled the WWE Hall of Famer, taking him and WWE star Natalya to the ground. Several WWE wrestlers/personalities including The New Day, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Travis Browne (Ronda Rousey’s husband) charged the ring to subdue Madsen even before security got there. Other wrestlers also joined in the melee as Madsen was being escorted away but the report states that apart from the accused, only one security guard received minor injuries.
