On Monday Night Raw last night, WWE aired a backstage segment where Bayley handed Goldust a teddy that was made to look like his father, the late great American Dream Dusty Rhodes.
Bayley went on to explain her love for Dusty and that she wanted Goldust to have the teddy as a way to show her love for him. Goldust took the teddy, but Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows appeared after Bayley left and ripped the head off the bear.
The segment was then booed by fans and Dusty’s other son, former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes also commented on the segment on his social media page, he said:
“Not gonna’ say something mean or blow a whistle. All I can say…is that whoever produced that, I hope they never know what this feels like.”
He then continued later in the night and posted the following on Twitter: “Appreciate all the kind words tonight & even the dissenting opinions. I turned something private to public. I’m not perfect. I just miss him.”
Rhodes left WWE last year and has since made appearances for WWE’s rivals TNA, he has stated many times that he will not make a return to WWE following what was a lengthy stint with the company.
