While India remains one of the most populous countries in the world, a recent study shows that the consumption of internet in the country is surprisingly low.
A mere 19 per cent of people in the age group of 15-65 use Internet in India. A recent report released on Tuesday revealed that about 35 per cent of those in the age group are aware of Internet. The report is named “AfterAccess: ICT access and use in India and the Global South” and was published by Lirneasia, a policy and regulation think tank in collaboration with the Cellular Operators Association of India.
