Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang takes LESS time than Thierry Henry to net 50th Arsenal goal

The 30-year-old’s finish in the 1-1 draw with Wolves has taken his Gunners goal tally to the 50-goal mark, which is remarkably as he’s only made 78 appearances for them.

Only six players in Arsenal’s history have reached their half-century in fewer games, with Ted Drake top of the list having netted 50 in just 52 games for the club in the 1930s.

Perhaps more surprising is the fact that the club’s record goalscorer Thierry Henry, who needed 83 appearances to get his half century, does not even feature in the top 10.

Aubameyang calmly slotted his goal from close range after being teed up by Alexandre Lacazette to put the hosts ahead.
