In a recent interview with apnews.com, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair gave advice to anyone who is hoping to follow in his footsteps.
Flair said; ““Going forward, I want people to take my advice as opposed to wanting to be or act like me.There’s a lot of 20-year-old kids that want to be Ric Flair. That’s cool if it’s in a good context. But if it’s drinking to relieve stress or cope with life, that’s not the answer.”
He also spoke about his vow to not drink again after his recent illness, with the article stating his medical bills hit the one million mark.
““I wouldn’t even begin to think about drinking. If you ever hear that I’m out drinking again, say, ‘Ric, you (dummy), you deserve whatever you get.’”
Big Cass Set For Jets Game
WWE has announced that Big Cass will be making an appearance at the upcoming New York Jets game on 11/2. They are set to face Buffalo Bills and tickets are now available.
WWE has officially added Enzo Amore vs Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight title to the WWE Survivor Series card. With the announcement of the Title match, it appears as if the originally planned Cruiserweight Survivor Series elimination tag match will not be happening. The bout was originally rumored to be captained by Enzo and Kalisto:

Rumor Killer on Possible WWE UK PPV
Apparently a rumor was recently started by a UK reporter, claiming a WWE UK PPV will be taking place sometime next year, however Dave Meltzer Tweeted the following, shooting down the false report:
So to correct something on today’s show, there isn’t a UK WWE PPV next year, was a hoax by a UK reporter.

As seen in the Tweets below, Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy played a show in Manchester, UK last night. As we noted before, WWE will be taping next week’s edition of Smackdown in Manchester as the company continues to tour The UK.

IN-RING SEGMENT
Shane McMahon kicked off the show and got a huge reaction from the Manchester crowd. He called out Kurt Angle and promised that he will be held responsible for the damages done to general manager Daniel Bryan last week on Raw. Bryan will return to television next week. The New Day came out and rolled footage of their second invasion of Raw last night, costing Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose the tag team titles. All three guys took turns mocking the red brand and showing no remorse for The Shield losing the belts, and said they would be first in line to beat down Raw if they tried to retaliate here tonight.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn made their way out to the entrance ramp before all the babyfaces in the ring could make fools of themselves by dancing around and chanting “New Day Rocks”. Owens reminded the commissioner that he lost at Hell in a Cell because of him, just to rub salt in that wound. Sami claimed that they could have gone to Raw and beat down the entire roster, but they didn’t because they have “honor” and “integrity”. He rightfully pointed out that he lost to Randy Orton last week because of a low blow, and if he or KO had done that they would have been fined or suspended. Owens mocks the New Day and calls them “dancing puppets”. Shane O’Mac trashes them for having no balls, and no brand integrity, and books Sami in a match with Kofi Kingston.
SAMI ZAYN vs. KOFI KINGSTON
Good back and forth to get things started with both guys looking for position advantage, and Kofi taking control after some nice dropkicks and high-flying moves. Sami hit a lariat to the back and slowed things down, showing a mean streak and putting the boots to his opponent. After a few minutes Kofi came back countering a top rope dive with a big dropkick to send the “underdog from the underground” rolling to the floor.
Zayn dominated during the commercial break after a distraction from Kevin Owens led to Kingston getting thrown hard into the ring post. The rest of the New Day came back to even the odds and Kofi rallied back with a tope con hillo to the floor, followed by a sunset flip powerbomb to send them back into the ring. He lined up for Trouble in Paradise, but Sami ducked under it and reversed into a huge Blue Thunder Bomb for two-and-a-half. Great spot. He looks to put it away with a Brainbuster but the two trade a dozen counters back and forth, each man scouting everything perfectly. Kofi came off the second rope with a triangle springboard crossbody and rolled his opponent up for three.
With The New Day causing a HUGE distraction for The Shield on Monday, causing them to lose their WWE Raw Tag Team Championships to the team of Cesaro & Sheamus, WWE’s YouTube page has posted a video highlighting some of the best and craziest victories caused by a distraction. This one is a must watch and includes some hilarious and shocking moments, including the debut of Christian, Baron Corbin’s MITB Cash In, and the unlikeliest of wins from The Hurricane.
Former WWE Star Debuting for ROH This Weekend
Simon Grimm, formerly known as Simon Gotch and part of former NXT Tag Team Champions The Vaudevillains, has announced that he would be making his debut for Ring of Honor at their events in Florida this weekend. Grimm did have a tryout match with Ring of Honor in 2005, but this will be his first match since his departure from WWE.

The show started with Shane McMahon addressing the entire Smackdown locker room backstage, giving them an inspirational pep talk in the style of a fired-up Southern Baptist preacher. He said they’ve put together the greatest five man team in the history of WWE, but struck gold in signing the 16-time world champion John Cena (who did not appear to be among them). The New Day put over their match against The Shield at Survivor Series and led the roster in a “Smack-Down-Rock” chant.
IN-RING SEGMENT
Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan hit the ring to a great ovation. He admitted to making a mistake by going to Raw alone, in an attempt to create peace between the brands, blaming Stephanie McMahon for being vindictive and ruthless. Bryan said that Smackdown is ready for retaliation if the Monday night crew decided to show up tonight looking for revenge. He put over John Cena as the fifth member of the team (to a mixed reaction), before introducing the brand new WWE Champion… AJ Styles!
The Phenomenal One made his way to the ring to receive an absurdly loud reaction. Bryan noted that the Universal Champion on Raw has his own Advocate, so he offers his services to Styles tonight for one night only. The champ accepted so Bryan began to recite Paul Heyman’s usual “reigning, defending, undisputed champion of the world” line. The GM talked about Brock Lesnar being big and strong, but said he has a tendency to quit; “just like he quit WWE years ago, and just like he quit to a half-assed knee bar on a UFC show.” Damn.
Bryan continued, claiming that AJ Styles will drag Brock Lesnar into deep waters, where he may last a total of ten minutes before running out of breath. He told the fans the #1 reason to order the WWE Network on Sunday is to see a giant, muscular monster be mentally beaten by the best wrestler in the world! Styles took the mic and said that he can talk for himself, because he’s not a puppet like Brock. He declared victory at Survivor Series because he has to lead the way for Tuesday nights and prove that the “House that AJ Styles Built” is the A-Show in WWE.
United States Championship BARON CORBIN (c) vs. SIN CARA
The challenger took the upper hand early on throwing Corbin to the floor with a headscissors takedown, but got beaten up during the commercial break as the champ threw him into the barricade. For the next five minutes Corbin just steamrolled through Sin Cara with big offense in the corner, numerous splashes, big boots, elbows, etc.
“The Queen” defends her Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley in the first match of the 30th annual Royal Rumble event.
Sami Zayn Talks Facing AJ Styles Next Week
WWE has released the following video, featuring Sami Zayn hyping his match against AJ Styles on Smackdown Live Tuesday night. Zayn says that he will set the tone for 2018 with his non-title bout against Styles, to make up for the lackluster 2017 he had thanks to Shane McMahon:

As noted, WWE Clash of Champions will be taking place on December 17th, and will be a Smackdown only brand PPV.
According to PWInsider.com, Clash of Champions will be headlined by AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.
