Following his very public firing at June’s No Way Out, Laurinaitis continued to work behind-the-scenes in his corporate role. After eight years of service in talent relations, he’s “burned out” and now hopes to concentrate on what he knows best: putting together matches and working with WWE talent as a producer.

Another Apparent WWE Developmental Wrestler Release, WCW's Wackiest Photos

– It would appear that WWE has parted ways with developmental wrestler DT Porter as he is no longer listed on the roster page of FCWWrestling.info. He rarely appeared on Florida Championship Wrestling cards after joining the developmental promotion last year. In May, Porter, whose real name is Brian McGhee, posted a message on Facebook crying for help due to alleged mistreatment from camp officials. He then claimed that his account was hacked.

The “help” statement read: “Guys, I don’t know how much longer I can handle this. Every day is a constant struggle to keep my sanity. I love wrestling and it’s all I ever wanted to do. Already going crazy since I’ve been for like ten months now, but it gets worse. Every day a trainer goes out of his way to rib or disrespect me in front of the boys because I’ve been out so long. I can’t clear myself. I wanna wrestle more than anything, but I don’t even know who I am anymore. It’s so fucking hard. I just feel it just building inside of me and I don’t know how much longer I can contain it. I have daydreams of just fucking everyone up on some real shit. I’m not a kid. I’m a fucking man. But what do you do when the people in charge of helping you get to the main roster are the ones making your life the hardest. I’ve been drinking almost every day. It’s to the point to where I keep Vodka and Gin in my trunk. Help me!”

– WWE.com dug through their WCW photo archive and posted another batch of the “wackiest” photos from the defunct promotion. Pics include Sid Vicious appearing on menacingly on a four wheeler, Big Boss Man as Guardian Angel, Perry Saturn in a dress, The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea, “Mean” Gene Okerlund facing off against Mark Madden.

WWE Stars Doing Voice Work For Scooby Doo, WWE Download (Video) & More

– During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, The Miz revealed that WWE has begun voice-over work for the company’s new Scooby Doo movie, due out in 2014:

“I just did voice-over work for it [last week], and it was fun. But, you know what is weird about that? You are doing voice-overs, and you are just standing there with a microphone. To get you into the character, like say my character was running, then I would be running in place next to the microphone. It doesn’t look that cool. But, I guarantee you that the movie will be laugh-out-loud funny and the movie seems like it will be really good. It’s going to be weird to see myself animated, although I am already pretty animated in real life.”

Cewsh Reviews – The 2012 CRL 100 (Part 1)

Good evening boys and girls, and welcome to a super, DUPER special event very much like other things that you have previously seen and yet…different.

Er…Yeah. Pretty Much Just Like That.

You see, tonight I am proud to unveil the debut CRL 100. What is this mysterious conglomeration of numbers and letters, you ask? Well that’s very simple. It stands for Cewsh Reviews List 100, and it is the first in a yearly reckoning of the best wrestlers of the past year as determined by, naturally, Cewsh. Wait! I can see you closing this tab and moving on to another one featuring the kind of porn that it would be weird to even talk about. And that’s understandable, because when it comes to wrestling related lists, let’s be honest. They suck. If they aren’t comprised entirely of WWE guys with a token indy guy thrown in, then they’re based on criteria so bafflingly vague that it’s impossible to figure out why in the hell they ever bothered in the first place. I know, believe me. I’ve suffered right along with you through lists that keep men and women segregated, and lists that actually have the balls to declare the Miz the best wrestler on Earth in a given year. But that all ends today. You see, with my CRL 100, I have painstakingly whittled down every single active wrestler in this industry until I got the 100 most ass kicking, body rocking, shit talking, walk walking sons (and daughters) of bitches walking the Earth today. Some will come from WWE, but others will proudly represent New Japan, All Japan, DDT, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL, AAA, Shimmer, Ring of Honor, CHIKARA, WSU, Anarchy, Dragon Gate and even more than that. Every effort has been made to remove personal bias and nonsensical notions from the making here, and with any luck what I have crafted here is a list you can look to and be proud of, born of research, hard decisions and experience.

And hey, if that fails, lists are great for killing time, right?

So okay, before we get into this, let’s do a quick FAQ.

Q: What are you judging based on?
A: Individual in ring performance, with the emphasis on individual.

Q: How did you research for this?
A: Tirelessly, for one thing. I made a point to watch every major show by every significant promotion over the course of the past year and supplement it as much as possible with other shows as well. I left no stone unturned in trying to find talent wherever there might be some.

Q: Why 100?
A: Because 500 forces you to include people who aren’t really worthy of consideration, and 276 wasn’t symmetrical enough.

Q: So where are you going to rank the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar/The Rock/Triple H etc?
A: I’m not going to. In order to make things as fair as possible across the board, I required that in order to be eligible for this list, you have to have wrestled at least 5 matches in the past calender year. Any less than that and there just isn’t a fair sample size to base an educated opinion on. And Taker (1 match), Brock (2 matches), Rock (2 matches), and Triple H (3 matches) do not make the cut. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Q: John Cena’s not on here, is he?
A: Oh yeah, he totally is.

Q: Why are you combining the men and women on one list? That’s not fair to the women, is it?
A: Judging by some of the women you’ll find on this list, it might not be fair to the men.

Q: This is just the first 25, when will you be releasing the rest?
A: The will be 25 posted each day, ending before Raw on Monday Night. So that’s 100-76 tonight, 75-51 tomorrow, 50-26 on Sunday and the coup de grace on Monday.

Alright, that’s enough with the questions already. Let’s get down to the meat of the thing. Here are numbers 100-75 on the CRL 100 list of the best wrestlers of 2012!

100. ACH (Anarchy)
99. Keiji Mutoh (AJPW)
98. Paige (FCW)
97. Ray (Freelance)
96. Jigsaw (CHIKARA)
95. AR Fox (DGUSA)
94. Toru Yano (NJPW)
93. Matt Jackson (CHIKARA/PWG)
92. Rey Bucanero (AAA)
91. Courtney Rush (SHIMMER)
90. Devon (TNA)
89. Hunico (WWE)
88. La Sombra (CMLL)
87. Kenny King (TNA)
86. Antonio Cesaro (WWE)
85. Shelton Benjamin (ROH)
84. Kane (WWE)
83. L.A. Park (AAA)
82. Athena (SHIMMER)
81. Nicole Matthews (SHIMMER)
80. Jessicka Havok (WSU)
79. Bo Dallas (FCW)
78. Dean Ambrose (FCW)
77. Jay Lethal (ROH)
76. Go Shiozaki (NOAH)

Alright then, there you have it. The 100th through the 76th best wrestlers on the planet Earth over the course of the last calender year. Now remember, if your favorite doesn’t make the list, there’s no need to get crazy over it. A lot of very talented people didn’t make it because a) they were ineligible under the 5 match rule, b) they had a down year despite otherwise being excellent, or c) they just got edged out by someone slightly better. This is a chronicle of who, in the wrestling industry, truly showed themselves capable of excellence from August 24th 2011 – August 24th 2012. And while I’m sure these guys will stir some debate and imagination, oh boy can I not wait to show you who else is coming up later on.

Okay, that’ll do it for us tonight. Remember to check back tomorrow for Part 2 of the CRL 100 documenting numbers 75 – 50. Until then, remember to keep reading and be good to one another.

Brian Christopher Lawler Issues Statement On Father's Condition Tuesday Night

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler continues to recover in a hospital in Montreal, Canada, after suffering a heart attack during Monday’s Raw broadcast.

Lawler’s family members are with him, including son and former WWE performer Brian Christopher Lawler, who released a statement Tuesday evening concerning his father’s condition. Though stable, the concern now is whether he suffered brain damage following the heart attack.

His message reads: “Ok, here’s the latest real update. Lauren and I are here at the hospital in Montreal. He does not look good at all. He is responsive to questions that he is asked which is very good. His sedation and breathing support are being lowered slowly right now. He was shocked a total of 7 times at the arena and underwent a balloon stint to open up a clogged artery when he arrived at hospital. Everyone out there needs to say a special prayer for his brain at this point, please. Tests on his brain will not be available until the morning. One of us two will keep all you guys informed as we know more.”

Stacy Carter, Lawler’s former wife, remains optimistic on “The King.” She tweeted late Tuesday night, “Gonna try to get some sleep. Been a long 24 plus hours. I just know there will be some good news about @jerrylawler ‘s condition tomorrow!!!”

Ziggler Takes Aim At Orton On Download, Lawler's Health Scare Cut Out Of Show

– Saturday’s edition of A.M. Raw featured last Monday’s Raw match where WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a health scare. However, the entire time frame of the ordeal, and immediate aftermath, was cut out of the broadcast as the match jumped from moments before Lawler suffered the heart attack to the crowd settling down after having chanted his name.

– Spike TV will air the 2005 film Doom, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, on Friday night at 12:35 a.m.

– In this week’s WWE Download webisode, Dolph Ziggler takes another jab at Randy Orton as he mocks The Viper performing an animated celebration after hitting the RKO. Ziggler also gives his take on the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
