Sasha Banks On 2 Of Four Hosewomen Closing WrestleMania, Eddie Guerrero

WWE Superstar Sasha Banks recently spoke with the folks from The Independent to promote this year’s WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, April 7th. Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On the impact that WWE Hall Of Famer Eddie Guerrero had on her life and career and how Vickie Guerrero has been amazing to her: “Vickie has been nothing but amazing to me, her and her family. She once actually gave me a pair of Eddie Guerrero’s tights, and she has absolutely no idea what that means to me! I just hope that I am just making Eddie and his name proud. I am not related to them, but he had a huge impact on my life.

“Banks said she wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Latino Heat I wouldn’t be here as a person if it wasn’t for Eddie Guerrero. It’s cool to see, when I do autograph signings, people actually get me to sign things of Eddie, yet there are a lot of people who’ve never seen an Eddie Guerrero match. We talk about it and they want to go and watch and that makes me over the moon… I want everyone to know how amazing he was and how much of an influence he was on my career.”

On being proud of two of her fellow Four Horsewomen (Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair) being part of the first-ever women’s match to close the show at WrestleMania: “I’m very proud. It’s cool to see the women you started with get this dream. I think it’s all of our dreams about to happen and I am more than happy for all of them.”

Bret Hart's Attacker Arrested, Jailed & Charged With Assault

— CBS News New York is reporting that the man who attacked Bret Hart at last night’s Hall of Fame ceremonies has been arrested, jailed and charged with two counts of assault as well as trespassing. The name of the accused is Zachary Madsen and he is currently being held at the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn, NY.

— While Hart was speaking about the Hart Foundation, Madsen eluded security and ran into the ring and tackled the WWE Hall of Famer, taking him and WWE star Natalya to the ground. Several WWE wrestlers/personalities including The New Day, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Travis Browne (Ronda Rousey’s husband) charged the ring to subdue Madsen even before security got there. Other wrestlers also joined in the melee as Madsen was being escorted away but the report states that apart from the accused, only one security guard received minor injuries.

Sasha Banks Pulled From Show, Makes Cryptic Post: "If You Only Knew"

Sasha Banks appears to be dealing with something.

She posted a cryptic message after not being used at the post-WrestleMania 35 edition of RAW, which read as follows:

“There is something about the way life happens today that makes it hard to look ahead. There are things that make it difficult to laugh; difficult to live the way you want. There are things that make it almost impossible to trust where you are, or to believe in where you want to be. You look around and life is happening way too fast. Sometimes it feels like the moments are gone. Everything happens all at once and right away. We’re marching towards a destiny we cannot understand, towards the kingdom of convenient. Then one day you look up and you can’t find the meaning. Your crisis of purpose and passion is acting up, but they tell you that that’s suppose to be normal. Well… I don’t want normal, I want magic; cause that’s the place that feels like home to me. That’s the place where I remember what dreams look like, where meaning is effortless, and purpose is simple. That’s the place where love still matters. I want that feeling of coming home again. I want to feel like myself…. I want that magic.”

Additionally, she has pulled out of a scheduled appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. The statement regarding that cancellation reads as follows:

“Due to personal reasons, I had to pull out of my appearance today on @WendyWilliams . Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to it. Hopefully the opportunity will be there again later. #IfYouOnlyKnew.”
