Jake Roberts Says Randy Savage Had A Gun Pulled On Him Once

Randy Savage Reportedly Had A Gun Pulled On Him
During his recent appearance on Eric Bischoff’s podcast Bischoff on Wrestling, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts revealed how Miss Elizabeth’s parents reacted to an angle in which he slapped her during the 1991 event Tuesday In Texas
“The other bad time I had with Randy (Savage) is when they had me slap Elizabeth. You can imagine what that was like,” Roberts said. “That wasn’t even funny. That angle that we did with the snake bite and Elizabeth should have went on. We should have gone to WrestleMania with that, but we didn’t. I was like, ‘Why in the hell isn’t this being strung out?’ Bottom line was Elizabeth’s grandparents and parents weren’t smart, okay? Randy had promised them that Elizabeth would never, ever get physically involved or hurt during his wrestling career and yet she just got slapped. Randy and her went back to visit her grandparents and the old man pulled a gun on him and said, ‘Don’t you even think about coming in the house!’”

He said that Elizabeth’s grandfather continued with, “‘Don’t come back! Don’t come back! Our little girl did get hurt! Be a man of your word!’ All of that stuff. Randy got kicked out and he had to make it up to them right away and that meant cleaning my clock.”

Ricky Morton Talks WWE Hall of Fame, Jim Cornette, More

2017 WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express recently spoke with Cult of Whatever. The full interview is at this link and below are highlights:
You are going to be inducted in the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame as one half of the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express with Robert Gibson, what is that moment going to be like for you?
To sum it up for me, I’ve waited all of my life for this moment, Robert and I both have. During our careers we have won multiple tag team titles, and to know that WWE have remembered Robert and I, the ones that paved the road and I’m not sat here patting myself on the back, I’m just trying to tell everyone that it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock ‘n’ roll and they remembered us. It’s just such an honour and a pleasure to go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

What is it going to be like having your former manager Jim Cornette inducting you into the WWE Hall of Fame?
It’s great that WWE and Jim have been able to put their differences aside. Time mends everything and we wouldn’t have wanted anyone but Jim Cornette to induct us into the WWE Hall of Fame.
With the WWE getting Jim to induct us and everything that has gone on between both parties, I think it opens up for a lot more guys that are out there that are deserving of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future.
What do you make of tag team wrestling at the moment?

With NXT they are doing a much better job, they are bringing guys up and doing a lot of good stuff. I see a lot of guys from overseas there and they all bring their style of wrestling and tag team wrestling to the table, all doors are open for everybody.
The guys down there at NXT and at the WWE Performance Centre they are working for a multi billion dollar company so even if I said bad things I would be lying to myself, I would be lying to everybody. This is the greatest business in the world but it’s hard and no one will understand that unless you are one of us. The sacrifices you have to make, what you have to give up to be in that position, and my hat is off to all these guys, even though we are sports entertainers we are still professional athletes and I love them all, especially The Revival, they are a great tag team, unbelievable.

Toxic Donald Trump ‘may ignore’ Boris Johnson’s plea not to intervene in general election

Donald Trump’s advisers fear he may not be able to stop himself intervening in the UK election when he visits London for a Nato summit next week, despite a plea from Boris Johnson.

The US president has been informed that Mr Johnson does not want him to offer his support publicly, amid fears an endorsement could end up harming the Prime Minister’s chances, and improving those of Jeremy Corbyn.

But an insider told the Telegraph that Mr Trump may simply ignore the advice on the spur of the moment because he finds it hard to understand why his support would not be welcome.

"He’s got the advice but he doesn’t have to take it, he gets to do his own thinking," a person close to the president said. "He’s…

German soldier who posed as Syrian refugee to face new terror trial

A German soldier who lived a double life posing as a Syrian refugee is to face a new trial on charges of planning a far-Right terror attack.

Lieutenant Franco Albrecht spent more than a year posing as a Christian refugee from Syria, and was given a place in a German government refugee shelter.

Prosecutors allege he was planning to assassinate high-profile figures in a false flag terror attack and pin the blame on the fictitious Syrian.

The original terror charges against Lt Albrecht were dismissed for lack of evidence in a court hearing last year, but Germany’s highest criminal court this week upheld a prosecution appeal and ordered a new trial.

Lt Albrecht’s arrest in 2017 stunned Germany and made headlines around the world. As a high-flying cadet officer, he trained at France’s prestigious St Cyr Military academy under an exchange programme and was entertained as a guest of the British army at Sandhurst.

Lt Albrecht’s defence lawyers say he masqueraded as a refugee in order to expose the shortcomings of the German asylum system and its failure properly to identify those entering the country. They deny that he was planning a terror attack

Germany’s federal court of justice ruled this week that there is sufficient evidence to support the charge Lt Albrecht was planning to assassinate public figures and ordered that he must face it in court.

But it ruled there was no evidence to support the charge that he was planning to pin the blame for an attack on Syrian refugees.

Prosecutors allege that Lt Albrecht procured firearms and ammunition and prepared a list of possible assassinations targets including Heiko Maas, the foreign minister, former President Joachim Gauck and Anetta Kahane, a prominent human rights activist.

They allege he scoped out a car park near the activist’s office as a possible assassination site.

Lawyers for Lt Albrecht deny the allegations and say he obtained weapons as a member of the “prepper” scene. They say the alleged “death list” is a list of people the soldier wished to contact to discuss the political situation, and that he only visited the car park in an attempt to meet Ms Kahane.

Lawyers for the soldier have not commented on this week’s decision by the appeals court. Lt Albrecht has been suspended from duty but remains an officer in the German army until the case is resolved.

A date for a new trial has not yet been set.

Undertaker retirement news bigger than Romo?

Some of the most famous sports talkers on the radio and TV declared the Deadman’s alleged retirement news a bigger story than the retirement of Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo today.
ESPN Radio’s Mike Golic and MIke Greenberg debated the biggest sports story of the week on their show. Golic argued that the Undertaker’s retirement after his WrestleMania 34 loss to Roman Reigns on Sunday might be considered by many as the top story in sports overall and more newsworthy than Romo leaving the NFL to become a broadcaster.
Golic said he believed the popularity of wrestling would make the Undertaker’s retirement in the eyes of some fans potentially a bigger story than even the start of the Major League baseball season, North Carolina winning the NCAA men’s national basketball title and South Carolina winning the the NCAA women’s basketball title in the wake of Connecticut’s historic loss to Mississippi State in the semifinals.

None can argue the Undertaker’s impact over the course of his career which began with his appearance in World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. He moved on to World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1989 to 1990, wrestling under the name “Mean Mark” Callous. He signed with then World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now the WWE, in 1990, and is most famous for his 21-match win streak at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker left his gloves, coat and hat in the middle of the ring, and in a rare break from his in-ring character kissed his wife Michelle McCool after his loss to Reigns on Sunday, leading many to believe it is his last match.
