Penti reports threefold jump in online sales for shoppers using MySizeID

Global apparel brand Penti has said that apparel sales by customers
using measurement solution app MySizeID were three-times higher than those
not using it.

The data was gathered in a three-month period from March to May 2020 and
also found that returns were down by around 50 percent for customers using the tool.

The app was used across Penti’s lingerie and swimwear ranges but now
will be expanded to sleepwear following the successful results. Penti has
600 retail stores in over 35 countries.

CEO of MySize Ronen Luzon said in a statement: “Penti is a great case study for our
patented measurement technology. Over a period of several months, we
generated a dramatic increase in conversion rates and total purchases among
customers that used MySizeID.

“We are especially proud of the significant reduction in returns among
MySizeID users, which otherwise represents an enormous cost to retailers.
As of May, nearly 8% of Penti customers were utilizing MySizeID. While the
uptake has been impressive, there is still significant room for growth
among Penti’s estimated four million plus customers per month who shop on
their website.”

Report: NJPW Stars Confirmed To Be Heading To WWE

Recent rumors of the New Japan Pro Wrestling tag team of War Machine, which is Hanson and Raymond Rowe, heading to the WWE once they honor their final commitment are confirmed, according to WrestleZone.
War Machine is scheduled to team with Michael Elgin in a six-man openweight tag team championship match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4.

WWE Drops Enzo Amore From Mixed Match Challenge Due To Illness

Enzo Amore will not be part of the upcoming WWE Mixed Match Challenge show that premieres on Tuesday, January 16.

Kurt Angle announced on Twitter that he will be replacing Amore after his recent hospitalization due to the flu. The news was later confirmed on WWE.com. The announcement came just one day before he and SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan reveal which male and female wrestlers would be teaming up on the show.

The team announcements were taped backstage at Smackdown Live in Orlando and will air on the WWE Facebook page on Wednesday so they probably realized that bringing Amore backstage to film a segment was a bad idea.

@real1 has the flu and thus I must replace him in the Mixed Match Challenge. #WWEMMC

Sean Waltman Comments on The Hard Fall He Experienced in 1993

Sean Waltman who was formerly known as The 1-2-3 Kid or The Kid defeated Razor Ramon in a very upsetting loss in a match on RAW in May of 1993. After losing the match, Razor Ramon demanded a rematch and even decided to put up $10,000 of his own money to get another chance. They would have the rematch after a few weeks where The 1-2-3 Kid ended up defeating Razor once again then he took the money, ran out of the arena, and left in a car.
During that $10,000 rematch, The 1-2-3 Kid took a hard spill from the top rope and landed flat on the concrete below. A gif of the fall was recently posted by WrestlingInc.com and Sean Waltman responded by saying that his head did indeed bounce off the concrete, but he had to work a second match that same night, and he could barely board the plane for his first house show tour which was later that week.
Below are the tweets sent by WrestlingInc.Com, Sean Waltman and even Lance Storm on the hard fall:

New Impact World Tag Team Champions crowned

The Motor City Machine Guns are once again Impact World Tag Team champions.

The team defeated The North to win the championships for a second time tonight on Impact. The finish came when The North were delivering superkicks to both Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. Sabin countered with a small package and pinned Page to win the championships.

Sabin & Shelley’s last run with the championships were back in 2010, when they defeated Beer Money to win the titles that were previously vacated by The Band (Eric Young, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall).

The North end their run with the titles after 383 days, when they won the titles from LAX (Ortiz & Santana) at Bash at the Brewery on July 5, 2019.

Sabin & Shelley made their return to the promotion at Slammiversary this past Saturday. They defeated The Rascalz in the opening match as a surprise, then later challenged The North to a Impact Tag Team title match, which was later confirmed.

Major US sports goods chain to stop selling assault rifles

Dick’s Sporting Goods, a major gun retailer where the Florida school shooter bought one of his weapons, has announced it will stop selling assault rifles.

The company will also end the sale of guns to anyone under 21 and no longer stock high-capacity magazines, which can increase the death toll in a mass shooting.

“We don’t want to be part of this story," said Edward Stack, the chief executive of the company, which has more than 700 stores across America.

The move builds pressure on Donald Trump, the US president, and Congress to solve a current political impasse and tighten gun control laws.

Students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, returned to their classrooms on Wednesday for the first time after the shooting that killed 17 and left scores more injured.

Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old alleged to have carried out the attack, bought a weapon from a Dick’s store, though not the one which he used for the attack.

Discussing the news, Mr Stack said: "We did everything by the book. We did everything that the law required, and still he was able to buy a gun. "

When we looked at that, we said the systems that are in place across the board just aren’t effective enough to keep us from selling a gun like that.”

In a separate development, a teacher was taken into custody on Wednesday after reports of shots being fired at a school in Dalton, Georgia.

The local police station’s Twitter feed said there had been reports of someone “barricaded” in a classroom but later wrote that “no children” had been hurt.

Dick’s, one of America’s largest retailers of its kinds, released a statement saying it supported “common sense gun reform"

Timeline | US school shootings in 2018

The move risks putting the company at odds with the National Rifle Association, which opposes restrictions on gun ownership.

In 2000 the NRA orchestrated a boycott of Smith & Wesson after the company cut a deal with the Clinton administration to implement a package of gun control measures.

It resulted in a 40 per cent drop in sales and the value of the company plummeted.

There was no response from the NRA even though the gun lobby group has reportedly lobbied Donald Trump not to raise the legal age for buying some weapons.

The initiative by Dick’s, which stressed that it remained a strong supporter of the second amendment right of Americans to bear arms, was welcomed by several gun control advocates.

“It’s a testament to how much the gun debate has changed since the devastating shooting in Parkland that major gun retailers like Dick’s are willing to act, and we encourage other retailers to follow its lead,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.

Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, added: “This is the moment when business leaders across the country get to decide if they want to stand on the right side of history.

“Mothers make the majority of spending decisions for their families, and we want to shop with businesses that care about the safety of our families – making this a smart business move, too.”

About | National Rifle Association

Dick’s is the latest major American corporation to bow to the sweeping social media campaign which followed the shooting.

A number of companies including six car rental firms, several airlines and the First National Bank of Omaha, which offered an NRA branded credit card, have ended their association with the Association.

Meanwhile, schools in several parts of the country are stepping up security. In Healdton, Oklahoma, officials have installed seven bulletproof shelters inside classrooms.

In Pike County, Kentucky, the school board has voted to allow teachers to carry concealed weapons. Last month, two 15-year-old pupils were killed by a fellow student in the west of the state.

A spokesman for the  National Shooting Sports Foundation, which represents the gun industry, voiced disappointment at the decision by Dick’s sporting goods to stop selling assault weapons at its Field and Stream 35 Field and stream stores and any guns to those under 21 at all its 700 plus outlets

“We note that the Dick’s Sporting Good announcement acknowledges the vast majority of gun owners are responsible and law-abiding. Indeed, they are.

“Members of our industry believe that unauthorized individuals should never have access to any firearm, of any kind, at any time.”

He added the federation supported measure which would strengthen background criminal and mental health checks.
