David Arquette implies he knows when and where Mike Tyson will return

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

David Arquette appeared on Boston sports radio station WEEI Wednesday afternoon and implied that he knows when and where Mike Tyson will make his return to the ring. Wednesday night, Tyson and Chris Jericho brawled as AEW Dynamite went off the air on TNT.

Arquette, who has been dabbling in pro wrestling again since 2018, appeared on an episode of Being the Elite last summer.

“Mike Tyson, I love that guy. I love him so much. He is amazing. We have been talking about doing something together,” Arquette told Glenn Ordway, Christian Fauria and Lou Merloni. “I’m so excited about his return.”

The hosts then pushed Arquette a little more and he seemed to wonder “if it was announced.”

“Oh yeah. That’s a real thing,” he said of Tyson’s return. “Did they announce who it was? … I know who it is.

“I’m sworn to secrecy,” Arquette said with a chuckle. “And I know when it’s going to be. It’s called excitement. It’s called hype. We’re building it all up. Mike Tyson is one of the greatest champions we have and he has one more fight in him. That’s what my wrestling return was all about so I’m behind him 100 percent.”

Arquette’s first involvement in wrestling came in 2000 when he starred in the movie Ready to Rumble, which featured multiple WCW stars. As part of the promotion, Arquette appeared on WCW television and actually “won” the WCW World Championship by pinning Eric Bischoff in a six-man tag team match. His title reign lasted 12 days. Arquette also wrestled a match for WWE in 2010, when he was a guest on RAW. Arquette teamed with Alex Riley and lost a handicap match to Randy Orton.

Arquette returned to wrestling in 2018 on the independent circuit and has wrestled in 20 matches over the last two years. Over that run, he has worked with multiple AEW wrestlers, including Colt Cabana, Jungle Boy, Peter and Avalon.

UK and Argentina agree deal to double number of commercial flights to Falkland Islands

A landmark agreement between the UK and Argentina will see the number of commercial flights to the Falkland Islands double.

The nations have agreed to the creation of a new flight linking the Falklands with South America, taking the total number of air links to and from the continent to two.

The move represents a significant step in the continued thawing of relations between Argentina and the UK.

The new weekly flight will depart from Sao Paulo in Brazil and will stopover in Cordoba in Argentina once a month in each direction.

The new link, which will be provided by Latam Airlines, is the result of more than two years of negotiations between the UK and Argentinian governments.

Cruiserweight title match official for WWE WrestleMania 34

WWE’s Cruiserweight title tournament will conclude with either Cedric Alexander or Mustafa Ali being crowned as the new champion at WrestleMania 34 on April 8th.

After Alexander defeated Roderick Strong in a semifinal match last Tuesday, Ali beat Drew Gulak on 205 Live this week to move on to the finals. Alexander won matches against Gran Metalik, TJP, and Strong to get to WrestleMania, while Ali defeated Jack Gallagher, Buddy Murphy, and Gulak.

Alexander cut a promo about wanting to become a champion for his daughter after he advanced to the finals. In Ali’s post-match promo, he said his mission for his entire life has been to prove that it’s not about what your name is, where you’re from, or the color of your skin — it’s about what’s in your heart.

Whether Alexander vs. Ali will be on the pre-show or main card will be officially decided as we get closer to the show. It will be a matchup of two babyfaces, and it was listed to be the final when the idea of the champion being decided at WrestleMania was first put together.

Here’s the updated WrestleMania 34 lineup:

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defending against Roman Reigns
WWE Champion AJ Styles defending against Shinsuke Nakamura
Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H

United States Champion Randy Orton defending against Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal in a triple threat match
Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus defending against Braun Strowman & a partner
Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali in the Cruiserweight Championship tournament finals

Ukraine sends troops to Russian border amid fears of an ‘invasion’

Click:electronic distributor

Ukraine has begun calling up reservists and deploying troops to the border to counter what it says is the growing threat of a Russian invasion.

President Petro Poroshenko, who last week declared martial law in 10 regions, announced the military moves on Monday in response to a “sharp increase in Russian forces along our borders” and in the Crimean peninsula.

The day before, Mr Poroshenko claimed that Russia was trying to capture the major port of Mariupol to create a land corridor to Crimea.

Vladimir Putin’s spokesman called this statement “absolutely absurd” on Monday and accused Ukraine’s leader of “provoking tensions” before the presidential election there in March.

The escalation stems from when Russian forces fired upon and seized three Ukrainian naval ships attempting to pass the Kerch Strait on November 25. The vessels were heading for Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov, where Kiev has announced plans for a naval base.

The speaker of the Russian parliament said on Monday it would give awards to the border guards who rammed a Ukrainian naval tugboat south of Kerch before capturing it along with two artillery boats.

The two dozen Ukrainian sailors captured in the incident have been moved to Moscow and face up to six years in prison on charges of violating Russia’s borders.

Moscow annexed Crimea after protests forced out a Russia-friendly government in Kiev in 2014, giving it it full control over the Kerch Strait, the only entrance to the Sea of Azov. Mr Putin opened a bridge over the strait in May.

Russia has also been backing separatists in a conflict in eastern Ukraine that has killed more than 10,000 people since 2014.

The Ukrainian military said on Monday it had begun calling up its first line of active reserves, which include men up to age 40 who have previously undergone armed forces training, as well as cadets.

It promised the men would be home in time for in time for the holidays beginning on December 25, shortly before martial law expires.

Troops in the Chernihiv region near the Russian and Belarusian borders staged war games on Monday, after which they were address by a camouflage-clad Mr Poroshenko, as well as the commanders of the Canadian army and the US army in Europe.

The armed forces are also planning military exercises in two regions near Crimea.

Russia moved anti-ship missiles toward the Kerch Strait this week. It has deployed an additional battery of S-400 surface-to-air missiles to Crimea, although preparations for this installation were begun before the Kerch crisis, according to satellite imagery.

Ukraine has less than a quarter as many soldiers as Russia and remains outgunned in the sea and air. But analysts have said Moscow is unlikely to take military action before March’s election, which Mr Poroshenko is in danger of losing.

Following revelations of his business dealings in Russia, Donald Trump cancelled a meeting with Mr Putin at the G20 summit this weekend, demanding that he release the Ukrainian ships.

Mr Poroshenko has called for talks between the Normandy Four—France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine—to de-escalate the situation.

He said he could not get through to Mr Putin by phone after the ships were seized. On Monday, the Kremlin said no conversation was planned between the two leaders.

The number of Russians entering Ukraine has halved since Kiev banned Russian men aged 16-60 on Friday.

Many families have relatives in both countries, and despite ongoing tensions, Russia was Ukraine’s biggest trading partner in 2017.

Kiev’s transport minister has accused authorities in the Kerch Strait of a “blockade” against Ukrainian ports on the Azov Sea, where shipping has shrunken by half following the breakout of fighting with separatists in 2014 and the construction of the Crimean bridge.

But the central bank on Monday said even if shipping was cut off completely, most of the $230 million in metal exports handled by Azov ports each month could be rerouted.

More than 60 large ships were stopped south of the strait when The Telegraph visited for two days last week, but the owners of one said it had been delayed by inclement weather.

Member of parliament and presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko, a former prime minister, said on Monday there may have been an “artificial political basis for the introduction of martial law” by Mr Poroshenko last week.

A new poll found she was leading the race with 14 per cent support, followed by Mr Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky, who plays a schoolteacher-turned-president on television, with 8 per cent each.

Rey Mysterio reportedly added to the Greatest Royal Rumble

Rey Mysterio may be making an appearance at The Greatest Royal Rumble, according to a report.

PWInsider put out a report today saying that Rey Mysterio will be heading to the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. WWE has not yet confirmed that he will participate in the event. It would be his first match back since competing at the Royal Rumble in January, his first appearance for WWE since leaving in 2015.

There has been speculation for a while now that Mysterio has been looking to return to the WWE. As of this writing, there has been no confirmation that the two sides have agreed to a new deal. Mysterio is currently a part of AroLucha and has said in the past that he is interested in competing in New Japan, going as far as saving Will Ospreay from a Marty Scurll attack at Strong Style Evolved.

The Greatest Royal Rumble will take place on April 27 at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Dog that survived California wildfire guarded home for weeks

A dog that survived the catastrophic wildfire in Northern California apparently protected the ruins of his home for almost a month until his owner returned.

Madison was there waiting when Andrea Gaylord was allowed back to check on her burned property in Paradise this week.

Ms Gaylord fled when the November 8 fire broke out and destroyed the town of 27,000. An animal rescuer who responded to Ms Gaylord’s request to check on Madison first spotted the male Anatolian shepherd mix several days later.

Shayla Sullivan said the outdoor guard dog was apprehensive and kept his distance. Ms Sullivan left food and water for him regularly until his owner got back on Wednesday. She also helped locate Madison’s brother Miguel, another Anatolian shepherd mix that was taken to a shelter 85 miles away in the confusing aftermath of the wildfire.

"If (the evacuees) can’t be there I’m going to be and I’m not going to give up on their animal until they can get back in," Ms Sullivan said.

The dogs reunited Friday when Gaylord came back to the property with Miguel and brought Madison his favorite treat: a box of Wheat Thin crackers.

Gaylord told news station ABC10 she couldn’t ask for a better animal.

"Imagine the loyalty of hanging in in the worst of circumstances and being here waiting," she said.

"Their instinctual job is to watch the flocks and we’re part of them," she said about her dogs. "It’s a comforting feeling."

Obamacare ruled unconstitutional by US federal judge

A federal judge in Texas has ruled that the healthcare law known as Obamacare is unconstitutional – a ruling that opposition Democrats quickly vowed to appeal.

US District Judge Reed O’Connor’s decision came on the eve of a Saturday deadline to sign up for 2019 coverage in the federal healthcare program, known officially as the Affordable Care Act.

The White House said it expects the case to be appealed to the Supreme Court. "Pending the appeal process, the law remains in place," it said in a statement.

At the US Supreme Court, five justices in the nine-judge court who voted to uphold Obamacare in a separate case in 2012 are still on the bench.

Conservative Republicans have long opposed President Barack Obama’s landmark healthcare plan which he signed into law in 2010.

Five ways Donald Trump's healthcare plan is different from Obamacare

President Donald Trump made abolishing the program one of his main campaign pledges.

The Texas-based judge said that the full Obamacare program was unconstitutional because in last year’s tax overhaul, Congress eliminated a penalty for people who failed to sign up for the program if they did not already have their own health insurance.

The 2012 case was over whether such a penalty was legal – but now that it is gone, O’Connor says the whole Affordable Care Act should be stricken down because that provision is "the keystone" of the program.

President Trump lost no time in tweeting his delight at the court’s ruling on a complaint brought by several Republican attorneys general and two Republican governors.

"Wow, but not surprisingly, ObamaCare was just ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by a highly respected judge in Texas. Great news for America!" Trump wrote on twitter.

"As I predicted all along, Obamacare has been struck down as an UNCONSTITUTIONAL disaster!" he added.

Trump urged Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic House of Representatives speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi to "pass a STRONG law that provides GREAT healthcare."

Hamilton celebrates podium first for Stephanie Travers

Unlike Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes team member Stephanie Travers is not a household name around the world.

But on Sunday, she nonetheless achieved a significant milestone in Formula 1 history by becoming the first black woman to stand on the podium in 70 years of the world championship.

Travers was selected by the team to receive the constructors trophy on their behalf after Hamilton claimed a convincing victory in the Styrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.

Hamilton posted about the significance of the moment on Instagram after the event, explaining that “It’s such an important moment.

“This is Stephanie who is one of my teammates. She is one of our trackside fluid engineers,” he wrote.

“On Sunday, she became the first black woman to stand on the podium in Formula 1 history. This is an amazing achievement and I just wanted to acknowledge her for her hard work, positivity, and passion for her job.

“Like most of the jobs in our sport they are in high demand,” he continued. ” Stephanie was selected out of over 7000 applicants for her role.

“Steph said she wants to inspire young black children, and children of colour to believe that they can do it too, and I couldn’t agree more. Put your mind to it, and you can be anything you want to be.

“So whilst I really appreciate all of the congratulations, I wanted take the opportunity to lift her up, and share them with her.”

Travers’ appearance on the podium this weekend was also hailed by Mercedes, which posted on Twitter: “How awesome was it to see Steph collecting the podium on behalf of Petronas Motorsports and the whole team today.”

And team sponsors Petronas added: “Proud to see Stephanie Travers repping the entire Petronas family on the podium!”

The 25-year-old Zimbabwean chemical engineer joined the team in 2019 following rigorous five-stage selection process.

Following the appointment, Petronas Group Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe D’Arrigo said: “I believe that Stephanie’s skill set, passion, determination and positive attitude will make her an incredible addition to our team.”

“I’m sure that Stephanie will further strengthen our team at the track,” Mercedes principal Toto Wolff added in the same announcement. “The programme has become a great asset to find and develop talent in our highly competitive industry.

“Having fluid engineers in the on-track laboratory gives us the opportunity to quickly analyse lubricants from the car and to respond to potential challenges in real-time.”

According to Zimlive, Travers was born in Harare to Maria and Bertram Travers. She is the grand-daughter of Pat Travers, the late chairman of Arcadia United Football Club.
