Giuliana Rancic Returns to E! News Following Catt Sadler’s Controversial Departure

Ah, remember 2015? A time when emails were just emails and no one knew who Robert Mueller was? Well, Giuliana Rancic is about to give us a taste of the good ol’ days—because she’s returning to E! News.

The TV personality confirmed the announcement on Instagram with a throwback headshot from her early days at the network. “Where it all began…so thrilled to announce my return to @enews!!!!” she wrote. “Excited to co-host with my bff @thejasonkennedy and work with the brilliant team at my home away from home & to be in your living rooms once again! You’ve always been my baby, @enews.”

Rancic first began working with the network in 2002 as a correspondent, slowly making her way to a co-host position at E! News. She left her full-time post in 2015, but continued to work as a red carpet host for awards shows as well as major events like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. After her departure, Rancic was replaced by Maria Menounos, who then left in 2017; Catt Sadler was one of the rotating correspondents who stepped into the co-host.

Sadler, however, left the network abruptly in late 2017, claiming that she did so after discovering a major pay gap between her salary and that of her male co-star, Jason Kennedy.

After Sadler cried foul, Frances Berwick, president of Lifestyle Networks at NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said the gap between salaries was based on varying responsibilities and roles, not gender.

In a blog post, Kennedy’s wife Lauren Scruggs also responded to the drama, invoking Rancic’s name in the process to point out that she had made more money than Kennedy.

In a statement published in The Hollywood Reporter, Sadler retorted, “For people to use the argument that Giuliana somehow made more than Jason, that comparison doesn’t work. They’re apples and oranges. She joined before him, she was managing editor, she had multiple shows on the network.” Sadler received an outpouring of support from actresses, including Debra Messing and Eva Longoria, both of whom called out the network for unequal pay while giving live red carpet interviews on E! News.

Though she acknowledged that walking away from E! was “very scary,” Sadler has since moved on. Currently, she’s producing a show about gender inequality alongside Jennifer Lawrence, another outspoken equal pay advocate.

One thing’s for sure—we hope Rancic took note of Sadler’s work and asked for exactly what she’s worth.

Kim Kardashian Threw Kanye West a Kanye-Themed Birthday Party

Kanye West worked his smile muscles as he celebrated his 41st birthday surrounded by friends, family and a whole lot of magic tricks!

One day after the musician’s actual birthday, West celebrated his big day at a fun-filled bash alongside his wife Kim Kardashian West and her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.

While guests had plenty of time to groove to West’s latest tunes, which could be heard playing throughout the party, the night’s entertainment was provided by master mentalist Lior Suchard.

“So we have Lior here all the way from Tel Aviv who is a mentalist,” Kardashian West, 37, said in a video posted on her Instagram Story.

“Look, watch this,” she continued, as the mentalist made a pair of glasses placed in front of West suddenly flip over.

Astounded by the trick, Kardashian West replied, “This is crazy.”

Agreeing, West remarked, “Cray, Lior.”

Throughout the party, Surchard performed many tricks, and at one point even invited Jenner, 22, to participate in one of the evening’s performances.

While taking a break from his entertainment duties, Surchard also shared a photograph alongside the KarJenner sisters.

“Thinking…celebrating ….and reading positive thoughts with @kimkardashian @kendalljenner@kourtneykardash,” he captioned the image.

West was all smiles throughout the party, as Kardashian West snapped a few photos of her husband posing alongside his invited guests, which included musicians Pusha T and Kid Cudi, both of whom have recently worked with the birthday boy.

West produced Pusha T’s latest album DAYTONA and on Friday, he released a joint album with Kid Cudi called Kids See Ghosts.

The party was also filled with a handful of Kanye-themed confections and refreshments, including cookies and drinks with the musician’s face on them and a birthday cake that was reminiscent of the mountains of Wyoming that he featured on his Ye album art.

Kardashian West previously celebrated her husband’s big day by sharing a touching message on Instagram alongside a picture of West holding their 4½-month-old daughter Chicago in his lap.

“Happy Birthday babe!!!!! It’s been a wild year but we’re here & life is good! So proud of you dropping back to back albums & fulfilling your dreams. You inspire me to make the impossible always become a reality. Love you ”

Along with celebrating his birthday, West has been busy with the recent release of his new album Ye, which has already garnered over 100 million streams worldwide, while reaching No. 1 album status on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music in multiple countries.

What Heath Ledger’s Dad Has to Say About Michelle Williams’s Secret Marriage

Michelle Williams‘ new marriage has the stamp of a approval from a very special person.

Heath Ledger’s dad Kim spoke to the Sydney Morning Herald over the weekend, saying his family was “terribly happy” about the actress’s recent marriage to musician Phil Elverum. “It’s great,” he added.

Williams, 37, had daughter Matilda, 12, with Ledger during their three-year relationship before he died of a drug overdose in January 2008.

“She’s very private and I don’t really like to make too many comments about her, but we are very happy [for her],” Ledger’s father explained.

Jeffrey Mayer

The actress appears on the latest cover of Vanity Fair where she confirms her marriage to Elverum, 40, for the first time. Williams and Elverum got married in a secret ceremony in the Adirondacks with a few friends and their daughters present. Elverum has a 3-year-old daughter from his first marriage.

“Obviously I’ve never once in my life talked about a relationship,” she said. “But Phil isn’t anyone else. And that’s worth something. Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.”

Elverum now lives in Brooklyn with Williams and their daughters, and Williams said it vindicated her long search for love after Ledger died in 2008.

“I never gave up on love. I always say to Matilda, ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes,’” she recalled in the story.

Here’s Why this Black-ish Actor Wore a Nike Sweatshirt on the Emmys Red Carpet

Click:10 watt street light

Picture this: You’re getting ready for the Emmys because the show you’ve starred on for four years is nominated for an award. It’s days before the show — what are you going to wear? A ball gown? A chic jumpsuit? An off-the-rack design or a custom creation?

If you’re Jenifer Lewis, who stars on the ABC hit comedy Black-ish alongside Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nominee Tracee Ellis Ross, the answer is none of the above. In fact, the answer is pretty much the opposite: sweatpants.

Yes, Lewis hit the Emmys gold carpet on Monday evening at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in an ensemble most other guests would probably save for the gym. The actress wore a Nike crewneck hoodie and leggings along with sneakers as she posed for cameras.

But it wasn’t just comfort driving her decision. Lewis told Variety on the carpet that her decision to flash the swoosh was built upon support for Colin Kapernick’s Nike campaign.

“Thank you, Colin,” said Lewis. “Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for being brave. Thank you for being courageous. Thank you for taking a knee. Thank you.”

Kaepernick, of course, is the ousted NFL player known for kneeling in protest of police brutality against black Americans while he played for the San Francisco 49ers, thus launching a league-wide protest that has been controversial (and one of the president’s favorite talking points).

She may not make the most-glamorous fashion lists, but we can guarantee that Lewis is definitely the most comfortable guest at the party — and a “best” for more than just that reason.

Jessica Alba’s 10-Year-Old Mini-Me Daughter Gave an Empowering Speech at a Business Panel

Jessica Alba is a working mama — and even as a mom of three, she’s still learning the balance.

The actress and Honest Company founder moderated a panel of four other businesswomen on Monday, interviewing Arianna Huffington, Katherine Power, Alli Webb and Payal Kadakia.

One special guest? Alba’s daughter Honor Marie, 10, who gave an impassioned speech discussing female empowerment and the gender wage gap in the U.S. with a resounding, “Women should have the same opportunities as men.”

In a one-on-one chat with People, Alba — who welcomed her third child, son Hayes Alba, on Dec. 31 — revealed that she took maternity leave after giving birth to Hayes, but “I didn’t take as long as I wanted to.”

“We have a four-month maternity leave for women and two-month with men,” said the star, 37, of her organization’s parental PTO policy. “We do work with families and parents when they come back. They can come back part time or work from home — we have a flex understanding of what that means for them. ”

Alba tells People that “it is always challenging going back to work after kids,” and that the practice “feels weird and unnatural” at first.

But there’s a silver lining, too. “It makes me really try to be super efficient when I’m at work, so that I can get here and get what I need done and then get home and do that, as well,” she says.

“I’m not trying to meander, you know? I really try to make the time here feel really good and full and complete and when I go home, that is family time,” adds the star.

For Huffington — founder and CEO of Thrive Global and co-founder of The Huffington Post — having her own children later in life “was the most amazing thing because it puts everything else in perspective,” she tells People.

“It brought some joy and a lot of heartache because as they say, ‘You’re only as happy as your least happy child,’ but it has been definitely the most amazing and loving experience,” the journalist, 68, shares of her two daughters, who are now in their 20s.

Webb, 43, was a stay-at-home mom of two boys in Los Angeles when she founded what would become Drybar. As she shares with People, “I started a little mobile blow-dry business in 2008ish and I was really just running around blowing all my mommy friends, and that business was called Straight At Home.”

Power, 38, tells People that her advice for other women is “not to overthink it” when it comes to business decisions.

“I think it is very easy to get caught up in the details of how something can come together and waiting for the perfect time to launch something, or the perfect partner or perfect resources,” says the co-founder and CEO of Clique Brands. “Sometime you just have to get your idea out in front of people, as quickly as possibly to know if it has likes or not.”

ClassPass co-founder Kadakia, 35, explains how getting knocked down and back up again has made her realize that success is not a straight line.

“It has been a really amazing journey of accepting this idea of failure not as failure,” she tells People. “Failure is an opportunity, and you actually have to think about those mistakes you made and [say], ‘What is it actually teaching me, so I can get it right?’ “

Kylie Jenner’s Ex, Tyga, Takes Credit for Her Success

Minaj stirred the pot by asking if he missed his 21-year-old ex, to which he responded, “Nah, I’m good. I’m good love, enjoy.” Not sure what or who is going to “enjoy” in this scenario, but we’ll take it as a “no.”

Nicki then asked whether he felt he played a part in Jenner’s success, and like any excellent ex who bears no feelings of bitterness toward their former flame, he was like, “Absolutely.” OK, he didn’t say that exactly**, but it was implied.

“You gotta look at the before and after,” he told Minaj. “She always had a platform. She was always destined to be what she was gonna be, regardless. But when I stepped in … it was like, ‘you can do this, you should do this, you should start doing your hair like this… You need Black people to f—k with you ‘cause you need culture’… I had a lot to do with all that.”

He continued, “I don’t need to go online and tell people I did this and I’m the one helping her coming up with these colors and names on her … lip line. It was a lot of stuff.”

Let’s break this down:

Tyga, rapper best known pre-Kylie for his anthem about objectifying ladies at strip clubs (“Rack City”), is claiming that he helped put heiress to the Kardashian-Jenner empire on the map. Also, he’s bragging that he encouraged Kylie to take up the practice of cultural appropriation, and also probably coined a few of the incredibly complex names Jenner assigns to her lip kit shades (like “True Brown K” and “Candy K”).

OK, Tyga.

Kim Kardashian’s Butt Looks Unrecognizable in Her Latest Photo, and the Internet Can’t Handle It

If Kim Kardashian was hoping to break the Internet again with her famous derriere, it seems like she is well on her way.

The 38-year-old reality star shared a photo from her latest KKW Beauty campaign for her just released Flashing Lights collection, and the Internet was not feeling it — “it” being her butt. Rather than focus on her fierce eye look, fans zeroed in on how much smaller her rear appeared.

One follower wrote, “Thought this was Kourtney for a second,” while another added, “This doesn’t even look like Kim lol where her booty?” Many accused of the makeup mogul of using Photoshop, with one person commenting that “the photoshop is ridiculous.”

With all of the attention — most of it positive — that she’s received for her world famous rear, we can’t help but wonder what motive she may have had for digitally shrinking her most famous curve. Of course, as we’ve learned before, not all “Photoshop scandals” are actually alterations at all — just tricks of the light, clothing or angles. The campaign image was photographed by David LaChapelle, whose best-known recent work is Beyoncé’s 2017 pregnancy announcement, and heavy alterations aren’t really his M.O.

Kardashian herself also hasn’t commented on the image, so for now, her seemingly smaller butt remains a mystery.

We can’t forget that the star has previously spoken up about her love-hate relationship with her money-making asset. After Kim gave birth to Saint Waist in 2015, she opened up to People about how she really feels about her curves.

“I love curves, but I don’t love my butt and my hips being so big,” she said. “I totally have insecurities.”

You just keep doing you, Kim!

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Wore the 2018 Version of the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake Denim Outfits

Let’s all get real for a second here and admit that there are some styles that are timeless (think: the LBD) and some that are, well, not (we’re looking at you, ’80s perms).

But denim? Denim is unquestionably the former, even when taken to the most extreme of extremes like the fashion situation that happened on the 2001 American Music Awards red carpet with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

Isn’t walking down memory lane fun?

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher might agree, since they are taking those casual jeans vibes from their predecessors (hat sadly not included) and putting their own 2018 spin on it.

The star couple matched their fashion for date night at a Beyoncé and Jay-Z concert, and while they kept things characteristically casual, their looks still hit a nostalgic note. Kunis’s Lauren Moshi jacket and Timerlake’s own aren’t actually that far off, so we’ve got to give her serious props for proving that the Britney/Justin moment is iconic for a reason.

Now if only we could resurrect the denim gown …

Rachel McAdams Reveals Why She Waited “a Long Time” to Start a Family

The Disobedience star has been romantically linked to her current boyfriend, screenwriter Jamie Linden, since April 2016 — the latest in a string of Hollywood beaus which included Gosling, Josh Lucas, Michael Sheen, and Taylor Kitsch. So why, at 38, did McAdams (now 40) decide it was time to start a family?

“[People say] your life is not your own anymore,” she said of having a child, “but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”

“I waited a long time [for motherhood],” she continued. “It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”

McAdams admits she’s enjoying the change of pace afforded by parenthood, and vows to keep her son’s life “private, even if mine isn’t.”

I guess that means we shouldn’t hold our breath for a shot of baby McAdams-Linden … ?
