WWE announcer Jerry Lawler hinted at Smackdown possibly going live when the show moves to USA Network in early 2016.

Lawler said in a new interview that WWE and USA plan to make the show bigger after finishing the current run on Syfy. Lawler quipped that part of that was switching him from the Raw to Smackdown announce team.

“It’s a very good possibility that in the near future, Smackdown may be live,” Lawler told The Sound Magazine’s Scott Yager in an interview at New York Comic Con.

If Smackdown goes live in 2016, the show would presumably be on Tuesday nights, unless WWE changes their production schedule.

– The remainder of the interview focused on Lawler’s relationship with Andy Kaufman and the back-story of how it came together.
