It was only one week ago when fans watched a six-woman tag team match on Raw pitting The Riott Squad against The Bella Twins and Natalya. The match caught the attention of several fans when Brie Bella accidentally legitimately knocked out Liv Morgan during the match while dishing out a series of Yes Kicks. WWE later confirmed that Morgan had been diagnosed with a concussion. Some fans wondered if this would jeopardize the planned match between The Riott Squad and The Bella Twins & Ronda Rousey at Super Show-Down this weekend. The Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed that Morgan has continued to appear at WWE live events, but has only stayed ringside while Alicia Fox has taken her place in matches. Fox will likely replace Morgan at Super Show-Down if she is not cleared to return in time.
The Undisputed Era was already a dominant force on NXT before Bobby Fish went down with an injury. Since he went down with a torn ACL and MCL earlier this year, the group has won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, leader Adam Cole became the first North American Champion, and they have won the NXT Tag Team Championships on a few occasions thanks to the inclusion of Roderick Strong. Nevertheless, Fish is believed to be returning to the ring soon. During an appearance on E&C’d Pod of Awesomness, Adam Cole provided an update on Fish’s in-ring status. Cole talked about how disappointing it was to see Fish get hit with the injury but he assured fans that Bobby has been training hard everyday and should be ready to return ver soon.
“He’s ready to come back, and he’s ready to make this group even better than what it is. So I personally – and I know Kyle and Roddy feel the same way, we can’t wait to get Bobby back with us.” Cole said.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly in consideration to compete against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania in April of next year. In the meantime, he continues to expand his acting portfolio. Johnson wrapped up his work for the upcoming Jungle Cruise just a few weeks ago, but it appears that he has already begun working on his next film project. The Rock announced on social media that he is currently in London to begin shooting the “Hobbs & Shaw” film that will act as the first spinoff in the Fast & Furious franchise. Johnson will star in the film with Jason Statham, and it is set to be released in theaters on August 2nd, 2019. Dwayne Johnson has appeared in each film in the series since his role in Fast Five in 2011.
