As expected, Paul Heyman’s contract status with WWE was resolved prior to Brock Lesnar’s TV return Monday night on Raw, reports the Wrestling Observer.
Heyman’s previous contract expired in-between Lesnar’s stints on WWE TV, prompting the two sides to work out a new agreement.
Heyman has multiple irons in the fire, including a reality TV show in the works and a content deal with Yahoo. It required a new contract with WWE to continue as Lesnar’s on-air manager/spokesperson.
Heyman has an important role promoting Lesnar’s return match against Randy Orton at Summerslam on August 21, especially with Lesnar and Orton on separate brands following the brand split.
