WWE CEO Vince McMahon granted a rare on-camera interview to ESPN.com backstage at the Hall of Fame ceremony in Dallas.

McMahon talked to SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman about the Hall of Fame Night being the “most important night for me and most fun-filled night” along with WrestleMania.

“I enjoy this night more than any other in our business. It is an opportunity to give back and recognize those who paved the way for so many of us, including me,” McMahon said.

McMahon also talked about the HOF being a marketing tool to allow the audience to see the wrestlers “break character” and see the “real human being along with the persona.”

Coach closed the brief interview by asking what it’s been like having his son Shane McMahon back in WWE. Vince’s face lit up and he said it’s been “so much fun” having him back in the fold.
